she looks just fine for Pansy. You guys lack imagination if you think she isnt able to look evil or snotty enough. She’ll be great. I actually am dissapointed in Lav Lav’s headshot. Ialways pictured her as cutsie, not pretty. There is a difference.

I think the reason they might have decided against Gaunt is due to the fact that well…she looks almost exactly like Emma Watson, except with black hair. If you look at the promo they had for POA that showed her, Draco and some other slytherin (I forget who), you would see what I mean.

That and she’s grown up to be a stunning beauty, though one that looks much older than her age would suggest.

Wow, she looks great for the part! Not that she looks like a pug like Pansy is supposed to – she just has a Pansy-ish look about her …

Ooh, I think she has a great face for Pansy! Good luck to her! :)

Absolutely perfect! She (although very pretty) definitely has the “pug-like” look so often mentioned in the books. Posted by Mountain Violet on February 02, 2008 @ 12:21 PM

exactly my thoughts, although the “pug-like” in the books was ment as saying how ugly the girl was in Harry’s eyes. Well what does an eleven year old know about girls. This picture looks very flattery and yet it’s also very Pansy. But’s a lot of atttention to a character we probably only get to see in a flash. If their hasn’t been a promotional posing picture of Draco, Pansy and the Slythrein gang around, we would probably not even remember what Genevieve Gaunt looked like. It’s not a role for giving you a headstart in an acting career.

Wow. A quick Google search confirms that Genevieve Gaunt did, in fact, grow up to be gorgeous: http://genevieve.here-4-u.net/

It would be nice to see Pansy (whoever is playing her this time round) to show up on screen a few times and have more than one line. Perhaps.

She’s perfect! Judging by the photo, it’s quite easy to make an evil expression with a face like hers, and she can really be described as “pug-faced”. Oh… this sounds as if I’m insulting her… And I don’t mean this, of course. She’s very pretty, actually :)))

Here’s another BETTER picture of Scarlett Byrne with two friends i found on Photobucket!: http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc188/Starry-Night-Skies/l_aba15c4f7c47949456eafc51a3dc4101.jpg

I think her looks fit the role nicely. Draco, being the guy he is, would never be caught dead with a girl that wasn’t pretty. Harry’s opinion was colored, no doubt, by his distaste for Slytherins in general.

to you people who are thinking optimistically about this casting decision , where the hell were you when they announced Helen was cast as Narcissa, I’m sorry but like I said I was in complete shock about how rude people were to her, – ” Shes too ugly” or shes too old! Well, well mark my words you all will love Helen as Narcissa once you see her and if you dont I have One thing to say- shut up or put up!

( in bittersweet voice) : now remember children if you call someone ugly you just have serious insecurities about yourself! MUHAAAA!

She’s probably only going to be in that train compartment scene, but I’m just kind of amused by that the fact that she actually kind of resembles a pug, because that’s how pansy is described. i think that’s just cool.

I like her better than the first Pansy- the first Pansy’s features were too delicate for a girl described as pug-faced.
