Can they please keep the Uma-Thurman-Pulp-Fiction/Vidal Sassoon haircut Pansy had in the previous movies? Please?
she seems way to pretty to be pansy…i always thought her to be pug faced and kind of snobby looking. plus i hope the movie doesnt make her out to be more important than she is. they are always doing that and it drives me crazy!!!

She doesn’t really look like the Pansy i imagine… but im sure it will be awesome. :-) I really can’t wait.

I totally agree with you Accio Pint! , Genevieve Gaunt is a better name for a slytherin.. btw, this girl can be good for the role… but, she’s… ugly…. eh, I’m sorry.. I’ve thought that pancy should be ugly, but when I saw her in PoA I changed my picture of Pansy and I was so comfortable by that.. so, I don’t want to think that she’s ugly again..

Again, Gaunt is now too pretty (and too much of an Emma look alike with black hair) to play Pansy. Everyone would think Emma was playing two roles (I heard a few people say that about POA too actually…)
@ BellaSnape: I agree that it’s very unkind for people to call Scarlet Byrne ugly, but the way you’re going about chastising everyone is no better. Calling someone a “ditz”, or saying that people are “snot faced” takes away all your credibility, and quite frankly makes you seem like a raging hypocrite. Your words would carry much more weight if you expressed them in a calm and mature way, without making personal attacks on the people you’re addressing.
Now, back to the topic at hand: I quite like her, based on the limited impression I get from looking at the photo. Pansy, in my imagination, has always looked rather like Cristina Ricci, and I think Ms. Byrne bears a strong resemblance to Ricci. And on a purely shallow note, it appears that she has green eyes, which I love!
@ Saria.. the first name that came to my mind was christina ricci when i saw her picture.. she does resemble her i actually think she suits the pansy character than genevieve gaunt.. genevieve looks too kind to be pansy..
Sorry, maby I shouldn’t have said my opinion about Scarlett Byrne, but that was just what I thought… And @ BellaSnape, I didn’t say Helen McCrory is ugly.. and it doesn.t make me feel comfortable to call someone ugly! I’m not happy that Pansy have to be ugly in HBP. I was so dissapointed when I found out that this girl is going to cast as Pansy.. And you don’t have to insult me just because I don’t like the way Scarlett Byrne looks. I didn’t call you ugly.
I do think she looks remarkably like what Pansy should; basing purely on looks the casting directors have made a great choice. I was okay with having Genevieve Gaunt as Pansy but she is as you guys say maybe too traditionally beautiful for the role, so it seems Scarlett here is a pretty suitable replacement!

What was wrong with the one we had before? She looked like your average school girl to me, which is exactly what Pansy is.
I realise that some fans are really, really horrible, and that if they don’t someone gorgeous then they’ll just all get really critical and say that they’re ugly – but half the point of the books is that it can feel real, and that they’re all a bunch of misfits when it comes down to it.
