Very Happy Birthday wishes go out today to actor Warwick Davis, who portrays the character of Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter films. Mr. Davis is celebrating his 38th birthday today. Many happy returns! Cheers!
I wonder if he will ever be the old Flitwick that we saw in the first two films and not the random music professor that has been in the films since PoA.
Happy birthday to one of the greater actors of the screen.
btw I do hope his Flitwick image stays of the “random music professor” type.
it shows more Warwick the the “gnome” type, where he is hidden beneath make-up.
That’s bit of the problem when one is an actor of Warwick’s class, directors always want to camuflage him.
It’s a shame they disguised Warwick as a goblin, in Philosophers Stone, particularly as this was not how JKR portrayed him in the books. Warwick’s a good actor and should be allowed to appear with his own face. It’s not too late for the last films, to correct the error of the first one.
Oh, happy birthday, Warwick. You were great on “Extras”, too. Cheers! :D

Ian, they DID correct it. The music teacher who has appeared in every film from PoA on—that is Professor Flitwick. And no, Jimi, he won’t appear as the gnome again. It seems pretty clear that the film franchise changed the look of Flitwick in response to Jo mentioning (on her web site, and probably directly to them) that she was surprised when she saw the gnome version of Flitwick, because in her mind he simply looks like a little man.
hes my idol.
