There is a short new interview with Dave Legeno, who will be portraying the villainous werewolf Fenrir Greyback in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. UK tabloid The Daily Star has an article where the cage fighter turned actor mentions his role as the loathsome werewolf in the sixth Harry Potter film, and talks briefly about working with actor Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter). In what is described as a “gruesome fight scene,” he says: “Daniel will be taking his own 17 stone monster in this film – me.” The fighter, known as The Legend Killer for his giant-slaying ways, added: “He is a lovely guy but let’s just say he will have his hands full when I get hold of him.” You can see the scan of this article, here courtesy of Snitchseeker.com

Thanks guys!

Ehm, professor Potter, being a pedophile doesn’t make you a monster. Acting as one and actually molesting children, not onlike Fenrir, that’s what makes you a monster.

Hating someone for their sexual oriĆ«ntation is like hating someone for being a werewolf. They can’t help it. What makes the difference, is how you act. Just look at Lupin. (hm, werewolfs are a good metafor for pedophiles.)

Holy six-pack, Batman!

I guess he’s talking about the new Burrow scene.

Doesn’t he sound like he’s doing a commercial for some Cage Fighting match, or is it just me? I know it is all fake bluff and bluster, BUT it is rather unsettling.

Will somebody please remind him that it is just ACTING, he really is not a werewolf and he should not try to hurt poor Daniel!

I hope he knows he’s not a werewolf…

@TJ – I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks Fenrir is one good looking man.

Then again I think Jason Isaacs and Ralph Fiennes are two of the most attractive men (outside of their HP make-up..though Voldemort in his suit in OOTP…)...I think I just have a thing for bad boys,

But GO WB…another gorgeous man in the film…I’m not going to be a downer about it. It’s just giving this chick something else to look forward to :P

lol Hmm.. nice bod. But does anyone else think he has almost no belly button? It’s a really weird belly button…

And Fenrir doesn’t really get Harry at all in the books but he is gross; I wonder if they’re amping up the role to make him even more disgusting. Or have him go after Ginny or something. In fact, maybe they’ll have Ginny get her face munched off considering they’ve developed her character SO well that the audience would be horrified(sarcasm) Or maybe they’ll actually have Bill. I’m wondering if Bill will ever be mentioned – especially considering they’re of course considering the fans by making the seventh book into two movies (rolls eyes)!

But besides my terrible sarcasm, he definitely looks menacing. :)

Oh my goodness that guy IS Greyback! Just like I picture him! Wow… I can’t wait for this movie, Ootp was my favorite but this one’s sounding really special!

And yeah, I’ll think of it as waiting for a baby, in fact, my brother’s wife is pregnant and she’s giving birth around the same time of HBP’s release, so I’ll get a movie and a baby! (a nephew/niece, I mean)

Eva, there is a short battle at the end of the staircase when fenrir is on top of harry and harry smells the blood/sweat from his face/mouth. Then harry uses a spell and he pushes him off him. It’s not a huge fight, but it’s a little part that I really hoped they would keep in.

Regarding them only mentioning amycus carrow, do you think that his sister won’t be in it in the astronomy tower?

@Doobah: I have a feeling you might be on the right track. After the locket has been destoyed, back in the tent, Ron will be able to fill H&H in on what has been going on in the wizarding world. The movie would end with Hermione’s “I still haven’t ruled it [hexing Ron with tweedie-birds]] out” followed by the words “To be concluded”... and the audience shall go wild :)

RE Grayback…I don’t think it’s a pedophile thing, as in a “sexual” attraction, so much as a preference for lamb over mutton… no less disturbing, though.

rstadolnik has it right. Remember what Greyback said to Hermione in DH… it was something like, “You look soft.” So it’s not a pedophilia thing. It’s more that kids generally have softer, more tender flesh, due to their youth. And so Greyback prefers kids to adults, because he considers them tender meat.

Ugh, I just grossed myself out.

Hermione turned eighteen in DH, actually.

OR he could be talking about the scene which they added, you know, the pacing scene, if that leaked script online is legit, because I read it and Greyback’s in it.

Andrew your cynical comment is well noted I am referring to the acting technique known as “Method Acting” when is the goal of the actor to “become” and “loose oneself in” the character. My caution was hoping the that he would not get “so into the role” that he inadvertanly caused harm. Legeno’s bombastic wording just raised a cautionary flag, for me, and I was just voicing my concern. I personnally know of and have seen quite a few accidents on set, that can attributed to an actor’s inexperience and getting too far “into it”. (Even some VERY experienced and respected actors are guilty of this) I am not saying that Legeno is an imprudent person in this respect but since he does not have an extensive resume…which equates to limited experience … I think that my concern is valid. IMO
