Two days ago we reported on a new photo and ad from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince film that was contained in Nick Magazine. Today, we can tell you the article was part of a special section in the magazine highlighting a new “Coming Attractions Sweepstakes” that Warner Bros is holding to win a trip to the premiere of the sixth Harry Potter film. According to the magazine, a US premiere of Half-Blood Prince will take place in Los Angeles, California. Open to legal residents of the US ages 6 to 14, one winner of the contest will fly to Hollywood and walk the red carpet at the premiere of the film in November. This contest will open March 21 and run through May 1, 2008. Additional rules and information on this contest is not yet online, however the entry form for the contest is seen via this link where children entering must provide their parents name and email. We will update when more information becomes available. Good luck to all who enter.
On a related note for those who collect these things, the special insert in the April 2008 Nick Magazine also includes a Harry Potter maze and a word fill-in section, asking questions relative to the events in the “After the Burial” chapter of HBP.
THIS IS SOOOOOOOO UNFAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT ABOUT US ASIAN KIDS ? my life is HP we all HP fans deserve the same so PLEASE! put these kind of contests around the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a stupid idea. Six year olds were born in 2002, only a year before OOTP came out! They can’t even watch from the fourth movie onwards. I was eight when the fifth book came out and I was a MASSIVE fan- I read the book on the day it came out, read age-appropriate fanfiction and was even signed up for some forums, on which I started discussions. I’d love to see a fan who’s aged eight and have read all the books go to the premiere- at least they’d appreciate it.
i’m so confused i went to enter and it wouldn’t let me do it more than once… i read through their policy and it didn’t say anything about multiple enterings does anyone know if there is a rule agains that?

I live in the Czech Republic….Why is no premiere here ??? I want to see any actor from Harry Potter movies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t agree the adult commentary in HP is so over the head of a typical 6-8 year old I don’t see any potential damage to them watching it. The US ratings system is way to restrictive anyways. Many films that are R here are rated for 14’s and 16’s in other countries.
Also, I’d rather they see HP than some other PG-13 teen pics out there, even some of the Disney one’s where the sexuality is gratuitious. Something you can say about the violence and sexuality in the HP world is it isn’t gratuitious or unrealistic.
The real Hitler, Mussolini, both as bad as fictional Voldemort and many of our parents and grandparents lived through as children just fine. I’d rather use this fiction to educate children on the horrors of the world because it is easier to understand the causes and effect this way and then later when they are older they can take those skills to understanding this in the real world. Give your children some credit they aren’t dogs or cats, they are human beings!!!
"GET -- HIM -- OUT -- OF -- HERE!" Ron bellowed... Ron seized Scabbers by the tail and aimed a misjudged kick at Crookshanks that hit the trunk at the end of Harry's bed, knocking it over and causing Ron to hop up and down, howling in pain.
im turning 14 soon and i’m a US citizen living in italy….is that ok????
