A new "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" set teaser report has surfaced online, this from a Chilean magazine Wikén, that features new comments from actor Dan Radcliffe, director David Yates and producer David Barron. Our order partner Dan Radcliffe.com now has the full translation of the article, which mentions filming for Slughorn's Christmas party where the new Potions Master holds "party in his room for a selected group of students. Slughorn walks from one group to another chatting with his guests, trying to gain his favourite students' favour."
The article describes the upcoming sixth Harry Potter film as such: "Against all expectations, the sixth installment of the saga will not be as dark as the previous one. In spite of the tragic end of Harry's mentor, Dumbledore (Michael Gambon), the movie actually revolves around the awkward and comical romance between Harry and Ginny Weasley, sister of Harry's best friend Ron (played by Bonnie Wright, who made her debut in the second installment).
Actor Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is quoted as saying "It's a complex story, it isn't a simple romance because Harry is such a close friend of Ron's, and Ginny is his sister, and Harry feels as if he's walking on eggshells". According to director David Yates, "the fifth [film] was pretty intense, but this one has more comedy in it (...) There are many subtleties in the relationship, and a lot of sexual and emotional tension."
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince continues in production in England, and will be released in theaters on November 21. Thanks to DanRadcliffe.com!

Well, this movie should be darker than previous ones, seeing as the books get progressively darker. I’ll be disappointed if they spend too much time on the “comical romance.” That was not the main part of the book. Horcruxes? Voldemort’s past? Snape? Hello, people!

I can’t read the last paragraph (formatting is all off for some reason), but that’s OK. The rest of this news is great! I’m sure they won’t focus entirely on the romance – bear in mind that news stories always say this sort of thing when they’re making these films, but the films end up not being like that really at all. I think they’ll do justice to the “important” story, and line it up quite nicely for the 7th & 8th films.
Can’t wait to see it on the big screen! :D

Bonnie Wright wasn’t in Philosophers stone?

Seriously? SERIOUSLY? Revolve around the Harry/Ginny relationship?!
Sorry but when you’re favorite character is Draco Malfoy it’s hard to take that book like a comedy..
Ah well, I trust everybody involved in the HP films and I’m sure that it’s going to be amazing, but still… I hate when they describe HBP as comedian!

Bonnie actually WAS in the first movie, but only briefly at the train station. I guess they forgot about her. :\

I didn’t find the 6th book really dark, yes there are dark moments, but overall, it was not as dark as the 5th one.

I agree wih Sindie…there are other important connotetions in the movie… like voldemort’s life I also think that Yates must talk about it a little more….
anyway I love romance so i hope they do it just as the book (i hope so).

I think they are making the promotion around the Ginny/Harry relationship like they made it with the kiss for GOF.
Don’t worry the movie will be dark, it has to be, with some light moments through the story (like GOF).
The way the article describe the story is not very accurate (“Against all expectations”, ???).
And they are wrong, Bonnie was already present in the first movie !

Ok I enjoyed reading that but it irked me… Bonnie was in the first movie and they got that wrong… I know it’s a small detail but COME ON!
I like set reports too… I also enjoy set pictures, teaser video’s and trailer’s too… And as a R/Hr fan I’m looking forward to hearing move about that part of the film…
Can’t believe we have to wait until November!!!! The excitment is already building… Don’t know if I’ll be able to communicate by the films realise date!!!

NEWS! Yay! It feels like we haven’t been hearing much about this movie at all so I’ll take whatever I can get! Can’t wait to see Slughorn! ;)
SQUEES Harry/Ginny info! Exciting! I doubt the whole movie is going to focus on them but I still hope they get a decent set-up. WB kind of ignored it in the fifth one so they have some ground to make up. I CANNOT wait for this movie! WB, please if you’re reading, release some movie stills!
