Just got home from my sister’s a little while ago. It was lots of fun, but now I’m exhausted. I do want to catch up here though, and I must at least stay up until 10:32 since that’s what time I was born. I always like to see it on the clock on my birthday. ;)
Okay, more thank yous for all the birthday wishes: thanks Cordelia, FreeElf, Lady Hawke, Deanie, CoolG, MM, an of course PB! I wanted to name everyone individually, rather than just a group thanks, but I hope that in trying to do so I didn’t miss anyone! I haven’t caught up properly yet; I just scrolled through looking for my name. And now I’ll go back and actually read the rest of the posts! :)

a little bit about me: I have no idea how to properly use this laptop I bought about 6 months ago. I love the HP books due to the pure enjoyment I get from reading them.

Mollywobbles, I completely agree with your post about AI. I get frustrated by the popularity contest every season that I’ve seen, so I’m not sure why I continue watching…I guess it’s just addicting! LOL
Huff, interestingly, I actually had a different reaction to having the two girls perform before the results were announced. I thought it was nicer that way – I always find it somewhat mean that the contestants have to sing after they’ve just been eliminated (especially since they have to sing the song that got them eliminated in the first place, lol). They’re almost always really emotional, and usually don’t sound very good. This way, whichever girl got sent home could leave knowing that she had had a fairly strong final moment on stage.

LOL, thanks Huff – ironically, after I stayed up to see the time, I missed it! My friend came by to drop off the keyboard my father got my for my birthday (I couldn’t take it in my car because I had brought my sister and nephew.) I’m pretty excited. I haven’t really played in years, but was playing around on my sister’s keyboard a few weeks (months?) ago and saying I wished I had stuck with it and should start playing again. So, my father decided to get me my own so I don’t have to keep annoying my sister as I re-learn! :) It makes me smile now, as I’m remembering the conversations the other day about the learning curve when starting an instrument!

For the game. . . I don’t have to work (well, officially I do but I should be able to do it from home) on Tuesday, Whooooo-hoooooooooooo!!!!! So Monday night or Tuesday night is better for me.
We can start in the late afternoon if it’s Tuesday so the Cross-Ponders can join in for a bit. Plus I think forgetmenot has class Monday night.
Or we can do a bit Monday night and Tuesday afternoon/evening, with a dinner break. ;)

That’s a good point about the performance after being eliminated. I didn’t realize it was the same song they’d sung the night before. I have the memory of a pea. That would be hard to sing the song that got them kicked out.
MM good luck with the sewing. At least you will have them “handy” for the next time your coworkers flee the office take a day off. ;) And I hear that shoulder pads are coming back in style, so good timing on that! :)
I’m most likely not going to watch Lost until tomorrow… I didnt know it didnt start until 10… so yeah..
I’ll have to wait till tomorrow because i won’t have a TV to watch it on.

Ironsos, You will fit in just fine. Sirius B and Josephine are also in SLC.
In fact, I think Utah has more of us than any other State in the US. I could be wrong, but if I am it is second to California. And Perhaps 2 or 3 other States have 2 of us, but mostly we are not in the same city or municipal area.
So I think SLC wins for having more of us in the same city. ;)

Okay, I’m completely wiped out; I’ve definitely got to get some sleep. It’s been a really great day, and thanks again to everyone for all the happy birthdays! It was the best feeling to sign on in the morning and see so many…and to keep seeing them each time I came back throughout the day. I truly believe that being friends with all of you has played a huge part in making it very easy for me to turn 30 without any stress. Being part of a community with such a wide range of ages has made me realize that age really is just a number. Who we are inside is much more important, and I think all of you are pretty darn wonderful! ♥ (We’ll see if the heart works for me this time; it usually never does!)

MM I think that’s a divider line within the post, not a separate post. On my screen the line between posts is brown, tapers at the ends, and doesn’t extend all the way across the window.
You can create a divider line within posts by typing —- at the start of a new line, like so:

Oh so it did work but my little thing in the middle of the sentence didn’t come out. It’s 5 dashes (or minus signs, same thing) in a row, without spaces between them. Though if you put spaces it likely will still work, which is why the Wheel of Fortune lines need to be preceded with another character like / . ;)
