Morning all! The sun is shining this morning.
Ironsos Welcome to our little corner, I’m the eldest of our sixties group at 69, a married female from England. We do enjoy the addition of males to our group as there are so few of you. Several of our members are experts on the computer and are always willing to help those who are less experienced.
We share a fantasy that we have bought Alnwick Castle, in England and occupy apartments there decorated to our taste. This is the nearest we can get to a Hogwarts environment and our Headmistress is LemonFaerie who keeps us more or less in line. Deanie, is Mistress of Hounds, and looks to the welfare of the various pets we choose to bring with us. We have a bar which serves drinks alcoholic and otherwise, and parties are thrown at regular intervals and games are played,usually in House teams, and designed to cater for the varied time zones we occupy. So be prepared for fun and frolic inbetween the HP stuff and general Muggle life that interferes with our preferred world.

Clearly I have missed everyone again, this turned out to be… an annoying evening. Nothing terrible or really bad, just irritating stuff that kept me from the Castle.
Welcome back to Ironsos! It is nice to see you again. I have been frothing at the mouth for HBP news, so I completely agree with you. I really do not know what the hold up could be unless they perhaps feel that they let too much out of the bag too soon with OoTP and are trying to rein in a bit this time around. I don’t think it has anything to do with Dan being in Equus in the fall because the play runs from September through January, right through the time frame that HBP will be in theaters, so their advertising is going to overlap no matter what. They could be waiting for the trial, but since that is really a separate entity, I sort of doubt it. I think they are just enjoying keeping us all on tenterhooks.
However, the latest rumor I heard was that the teaser trailer is going to be in front of Speed racer which comes out May 9. Its a WB film, so that could be. As afar as I know it is the only “blockbustery” WB movie coming out in May with a similar movie going demographic, so it makes sense. I am keeping my fingers crossed!
It is really strange that we have not been inundated with the fan/set photos, though, I don’t know how they are managing to clamp down on that. It is so frustrating! I can’t wait. We need the movie website and downloads of wall paper and screen savers and all that good stuff, too. I wonder if they will have a Pensieve type thing for the game since we had DD’s Army for OoTP.
Anyway… on to other things. I am not really doing a “catch up” but {{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}} to everyone and smoochie kisses!
Madame M I will try to catch you to talk about the games, I definitely think we are in need of one but just don’t know about the day at this point. During the week could work. Next weekend I will definitely not be here as we have our first Faire of the season and the kids have some other stuff going on around that. We will work it out though! Never fear! Have a great time in Peoria and travel safely!

Well, this is annoying, I somehow lost part of this post. I copy and pasted it to go back and check on something on the previous page and to continue, but when I went to add to it I realized I must have left off part of it when I copied it. UGH!!!! So I know now I will miss saying something to someone, probably really profound bits of wisdom I was hopping to share with Huff or Wolfie or something to Rhiannon about lunch or SOMETHING but I have completely lost my thread now and it is too late to try to recreate it, my brain shut off a half hour ago. sigh
I do remember I was carping about an eBay seller who was supposed to have had my new medieval gown to me by now and who somehow misplaced my whole order and now I may not have it in time for May Fest which is the whole reason I bought the darn thing. But I guess I can let that go for now! LOL
I better go, I am suddenly so tired I am going cross eyed and that is when I REALLY start to ramble and write long posts. (No comments from the peanut gallery that I must be exhausted all the time, LOL! You think this is long… you know better, you have seen the other ones!)

Having gone through with my daughter in the percussions department on the High School Band, it brought back a great feeing. I loved attending the competitions. I did not enjoy sitting through the football games to wait for our 10 minute show at half time but I did it because that was the highlight of my evening or day! My daughter loved it!
Okay, off to work! If I don’t post today or this weekend, it may be that I was very busy. Then I will post on Sunday!
I think we need to play Jeopardy on Monday late and early on Tuesday. It will be with all the correct rules this time. Answers with the players posting the answers in the form of a question.

I have been at work for two and a half hours and I have not yet put my purse away! ;)
About birthtimes – I was born at 8:32 am, but I had been up all night working on it, so I immediately went to sleep. No wonder I sleep better in the daylight hours.
Of course, I was not content to be up all night, I had to keep Mother and a whole staff in the delivery room up too. I was a month late, they had to turn me 4 times because I was presenting breach. And before they could induce labor, and get me out, I had turned again and was still a breach birth. I really wanted to stay in the dark!
It’s a good thing I was Mother’s 3rd. If I had been the first, I would not have had siblings. ;)

Deanie LOL!!! OUCH! Your poor Mama. My first was not breach but was posterior (hence back labor the whole time), sixteen days late and 10+ pounds. There are nearly five years between her and my middle one. I think you know why, LOL. I hope you really enjoy your vacation! Don’t forget to take lots of pics!!
Madame M have a great weekend! I will make sure LemonPrincess gets on to see all of the congrats from you and everyone, she hasn’t been on for a few days. She was so tired yesterday she was actually in tears with it, after WASL testing all day, homework, jazz band practice and then three hours of marching practice. She had to keep the quads on for an hour and a half straight without a break and sticks at attention for long periods while their director yakked at them instead of playing, so she is really sore and exhausted! But she loves it and her director is VERY happy with her playing.

I keep thinking Night Owl will show back up but it’s been a really long time since she last posted. And that reminds me of The Gray Lady. Since she moved to England we haven’t heard from her much.

Ironsos don’t feel dumb. At least you figured it out yourself. That is the first thing I usually ask friends, when they phone me with problems about their WLAN. And for about 70% of the questions it is the solution, lol. And for some of the rest the WLAN-router isn’t switched on, lol. So you are definitely not alone.

Lemon Wasn’t there a news article on Leaky some time ago that the teaser trailer will be shown together with the newest Narnia film (Prince Caspian)? That would be then from 16th May. But I didn’t really keep up with the information during the last weeks.

Forgetmenot, We bought land near Lawton, Oklahoma two and a half years ago to build on when we retire. We have never seen our 3.1 acres. So we are going to Oklahoma and actually look at our land.
My My BIL’s mother and her boyfriend live there, so we will visit with them, too. I have known her since I was 11. They were stationed in Alaska with us, that’s where my sister met my BIL.
My neice and her DS are in Norman, Oklahoma and maybe we’ll go see them, too.
We have a friend, who we met in Hawaii, that llives in Ada, Oklahoma, so we’ll take a day trip to see him. ;0
TMI, I know. But I am starting to get excited and a bit panicked. I have not even started packing! ;)

The Granddaughters are suppose to spend the week end so they will probably have the computer occupied from the time they get here. I need to move the box springs out of the way but I think I will wait and let them help me.
I hope we get time to work on the camper this week end. The queen mattress takes up a lot of room. We brought it into the house so we would have room to change things around in the camper. It will probably rain so will make it difficult to take the bunks out.
Forgetmenot is our resident computer expert. Several others are pretty computer savy too. The rest of us get by so if you have any questions, there are plenty here that can help. I should have put your name Ironsos at the beginning so you would know I was talking to you.

Nascar Fans Tony is looking like the cat who swallowed the canary. I haven’t seen him smile so much in a long time. He’s denighing everything but….......... Maybe he just likes the attention. Kyle Bush has sort of stolen his thunder this season. I am not a Kyle Bush fan but I like him better than his brother. Lol.
