Hello Everyone!!!! How is everyone doing this evening, I am glad the rain cooled off the humidity a little bit, I can stand it now inside, I did not get much sleep last night though, I tossed and turned all night long, I was actually sweating in my sleep it was awful, when I finally did manage to get to sleep it was 3am, well most of you know I have to get up at 5am to get ready for work!!!!!!! I had all of the windows open, and 2 fans running, but I have to shut my bedroom door, because Boots bites!!!!!!!!

You can make the font on the computer large if you go to ‘view’ then ‘text size.’ Or maybe that’s what you did.. I’m not sure if you can do that on a laptop, though I imagine you could..
Ironsos, I wear glasses also, but I only have to wear them when I drive, I am near-sited, which means that I cannot see things that are far away!!!! luckly, though I don’t need them for reading or working on the computer!!! ””not yet anyway””””” (knocking on wood).
Thanks E.S., I have a ease of access feature that allows me to spot enlarge small areas. Most of the time I have no problem seeing the normal text size.

Fastpitch season is OVER here! Finally! My poor LemonDrop got stuck on a team she really should not have, so this season was an exercise in frustration, but she handled it pretty well. Today they lost to our big cross town rivals, though, for the final game of the season, and they even called it early because the score was so bad. I HATE losing to that team!!! Hate it, hate it, hate it!!! They are so obnoxious. Oh, well, at least we kick their a* in volleyball. Can’t wait for that!
So, to catch up….
Ella* you will be glad to know that I was a Happy Lemon until I had my margaritas (liquid lunch, I had nothing else all day, whoooohoooo, LOL, Laura will appreciate that!) then I became a Zombie Lemon but was a happy zombie! LOL
Had a nice time with my friend, I haven’t seen her for quite awhile. She is the same one who didn’t want to go see OoTP with me and had sort of that attitude about it, you know, but I started telling her about all of you and told her more about the books, etc. (she asked about the witchcraft thing) and she was a LOT more open about it. I don’t think she is going to read them, but she was happy that I had found you guys and was enjoying the world and everything so much, so that was nice.
I was wondering where Ginny Weasley has gotten to, has anyone heard from her? This is the longest she has gone without checking in, I am pretty sure, except for when she was working two jobs and things were crazy there for a bit, but she let us know about that in advance. I am getting a little worried about her. SHOUT OUT TO GINNY WEASLEY!!!! We miss you, come back!
Also, Graymayne never checked in this morning, did she? Or did I miss her? I will have to go back and look but I don’t think she did. I hope she is OK. Its unsettling when she doesn’t give her morning hellos.

You are a much harder worker than me, CoolG! (Well, most people are, I guess, I am pretty lazy, LOL) I can’t believe how much you have done to that trailer, it sounds very cozy now. I hope you guys really enjoy your travels in it. :)
asti, LadyHawke and Deanie all those measurements made my head hurt! I hate metric measurements, I never could get it. I just ran into a situation where the conversion would have come in handy, though. My DSs Medieval tunic, which was handmade by someone in Ukraine, just got here yesterday (a week late for the faire! UGH!!) and it is a dress on him! I gave all the measurements to them in inches EXCEPT his height, which is 6 feet. The whole thing is fine except the length, it would hit the right spot on Hagrid. Oh, well, at least that is easy to fix!
LadyHawke I have run into the same sorts of situations with my kids, they are expecting them to know all sorts of things way younger than I did. I never had multiplication tables (and I was in advanced math!) until 4th grade, and my son is supposed to know them all now, at the end of third. They have done measurements, metrics, all sorts of things that seem very early to me. I asked about the change once and they said they have switched to a system where they start introducing this stuff earlier but they see it every year over and over so that by the time they are in 6th grade they will really know the stuff we may not have SEEN until 6th grade. I don’t know that it works any better than taking a slower pace but really learning it, they only get some of these units for a few weeks and then don’t see them again until the following school year and it seems to me that some of the concepts are just too difficult at younger ages and that gets discouraging. I liked it better when they waited.
