Just a quick pop in. The first tornado watch was called off early, but we are under another one.

Ususally the severe weather just stalls and dies as it crosses the Chattahoochie River between Alabama and Georgia.

Sometimes it hits the river and turns north and misses the southern suburbs of Atlanta. ;)

Anyway, we are ok for now. ;)

I think I’m going to bed. ;)

Morning all! Hazy sun after quite a warm night.

Happy Mothers’Day to all Leaky Mums

I have the day to myself. My D/S has joined our son to watch a motorcycle event

PB I hope you had a great time at the Ball.

Lady Hawke My goodness, that was a scary downpour! I hope your wood floor polishes up nicely. On the whole I prefer UK weather even if it is very changeable. Bbl.

Hey…. late night check in.. Just got home and took a quick shower.

I don’t like how any of the pics of me on my camera came out… I’m gonna wait for my friend to post the group pics she took.

So we went to the restaurant, and it was ok i guess… Fun to just sit around and be with my friends.

the limo rides were fun.. just got to be stupid with my friends and whatnot while driving around.

At the dance though, it was boring for a while.. but i started having fun..

One thing though, some random girl came up to me while we i was standing with some friends, and grabbed me saying we were going to dance. A slow song came on and we were dancing, and started getting closer and closer to each other, and then she kissed me… I don’t even know what her name is..

That there, is the story of my first kiss.

Then afterwards we went to an ice cream place where we all got food/ice cream…

w00t! i still have $43 left over!!!!!!

Cool Grandma

PB Just because you don’t like the pictures of yourself doesn’t mean that they are not good. Believe me, nobody usually likes pictures of themselves. Me especially. Lol

Glad you had a good time this evening. I don’t believe that is your first kiss. Sounded Romantic though. Lol

Lady Hawke Hope your floors recover. So far all we have had is rain. Sounds like Deanie is going to be ok too.

Won_Two I’m with you as far as the race ended. Now his head will be bigger than ever. Sorry Tony got taken out and Biffel blew up. Just not our night all the way around. Good race though.

Ironsos Thanks for the update. I watched part of pole day but didn’t see who finally ended up with the pole. They are thinking it will be raining tomorrow so small chance of qualifing. I live about 50-60 miles from Indy so usually have the same weather. A lot of times we get Louisville weather. There is a line about 20 miles from Indy where the weather changes from southern to northern. You can see it every time there is bad weather. No ice or snow on roads until you hit this place.

Huff Thanks for the margarita.

Graymayne Since your family is doing something else today, what are your plans? I have heard from all my children so we will be by ourselves today.

Lemon Glad your hair turned out good. Sometimes it’s scary to have someone new work on your hair. But doesn’t it feel good when it turns out great?

BookwormJen I still say you are a great Aunt and Sister.

Ok I can’t seem to spell this morning so I must go back to bed for a few hours.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Lady Hawke

Happy Mother’s Day!!! to the mothers here.

Do you guys across the pond do Mother’s Day? For some reason I thought this would be one of those “made up” USA holidays.

We have no plans. The DS and child are working in the garden again.

That is okay with me. Since my father had the Heart Cath on Friday we decided not to drive out of town to have dinner in a restaurant yesterday which had been our original plan. The restaurants will be ridiculous today and I just can’t see waiting in line with a man in a wheelchair, a woman on a walker, another woman who can’t stand very long, my child, me (who is so tired I don’t want to stand very long) and my DS.

Maybe we’ll do it next weekend. My only option was to clean my house and cook it myself. As you know I spent yesterday just trying to pick my house up and put it away. The only cleaning that was done was the vacuuming. That didn’t sound like a FUN Mother’s Day for me anyway.

Potter Boy The story of the “KISS” was worth the whole weekend. Most people go to their proms and NOTHING happens and they wonder why it was such a big deal to go. Well, you came out of it with a PRIZE PROM NIGHT STORY. I’m with CoolG. I don’t believe you had never been kissed before. But no matter, the story is still great no matter.

Deanie

I’m glad your night turned out to be pretty quiet. After I signed out last night we had no more noticeable rain.

All we have left today is a Wind Advisory for all day.—And it is only going to be 68 degrees. For most of the week it has bee 86 degrees. But we have sun for two days now before the rest of the week turns rainy.

Graymayne

Lady Hawke We celebrate Mothering Sunday which falls on the fourth Sunday in Lent, and have been doing so for several centuries apparently. We’ve got reports of fatalities and damage from your bad weather system on the BBC News today.

CoolG I spent a couple of hours online then pottered out into the sunshine. I spent a rivetting half an hour cleansing a collection of beach and river pebbles which I had left outside over winter. We are both avid beach combers but I’m the one who maintains them:( To be fair, my DS did wield the deck scrubber on the patio a couple of days ago so I can’t really grumble. Later I might watch the French film “A Very Long Engagement” which we have just borrowed from a friend, my DS wouldn’t be interested.

PB When you reach my age you will look back at this night with great nostalgia, that was a great story! You obviously wowed her with your stylish turnout. Cool! Bbl.

Happy Mothers’ Day

to all the moms here!

korey, good to see you; I’m glad you’re able to be back home to spend Mothers’ Day with your kids!

Hi Sydney! Of course I remember you! And if you look back over a couple of pages, I’m sure you’ll recognize a lot of the names. How have you been? I don’t think we’ve heard too much from you since DH came out; what did you think of it?

Wow, PB! What a night, LOL! Glad you had fun, and I still want to see pics – just ‘cause you think they came out bad doesn’t mean the rest of us will!

I’ll be back later in the afternoon!

Are you 12 now or 13? ;)

PotterBoy, A real kiss from a mystery womam? Great!

We keep telling you that if you keep your eyes open you will find girls who are interested in geting to know you better. Learn something about her before the year is gone forever.

And post those pictures. Just because you don’t like them, does not mean that we won’t. As Cool Grandma said, most of us don’t like pictures of ourselves. ;)

Off to run errands. ;)

Happy Mother’s Day!!!!

LP excellent decorations! :)

I especially like the roses. I never thought of both chocolate and real roses!!! I promise to not eat all of the chocolate ones, and none of the real ones. :)

I will leave at least one for Lemon since I don’t want to be on the bad side of the Headmistress. She will come after me with a little white jacket herself!! Plus she is an amazing mom, always so attentive and caring for her children!!!

Hmm. I will have to leave one for MM since she has command of the rock cookie stash and with my hijinks, we need her to continue being a kind Castle nurse. Besides, she is a great mom to her own family and all the kids on her soccer teams and the kids at her school!!!

Oh, yes, I will have to leave one for CoolG since she is just so. . . Cool. ;) With a capital “C”! :)

Ooo! And Deanie since she is such a nice mom to her family and doggies. Couldn’t ask for a better mistress of the hounds!

Ahhhh, must leave one for Lady Hawke since she has been so patient and caring of her family. A mom for more than one generation!

And one for Korey who has had her hands full, to say the least, and deserves a great mother’s day!!!

Here’s one for Graymayne, a super mum across the pond, one of the most well-read moms I’ve met!!!

And another for asti, the sweetest mum who roots for the most important team, aka her family, through thick and thin!!

And here are two for Twin1 and Twin2, who we MISS A LOT and hope will come back soon! But we know that they are busy taking care of their families, like the great moms they are!!!

Oh yes, and one for Josephine who is a super caring mom too. . . so happy you are getting to post more!!!

And definitely one for Mistic Willow, such a kind soul who is there for her family day in and day out!!

For sure Rhiannon too, a caring mom who is working to make the world a better place, too!!

And last but not least . . . a chocolate rose for CHIB who we also MISS A LOT and hope will come back soon!!!! but know that’s also because she is taking care of her family, too.

Hmmm. . . that’s a lot of chocolate roses to not eat. Well, it’s for a good cause, wouldn’t you say? ;)

We sure have an amazing group of moms here on Leaky!!!! :D :D :D

PS – I scrolled back 12 pages to make sure I didn’t miss anyone, so if I did, I am so so sorry and it was totally not intentional!! I am leaving all of the chocolate roses out in case I did miss someone!!!

There is also brunch on the Great Hall’s buffet table. It will stay warm and fresh all day, so stop by and have a bite!

There’s make-themselves omelettes (egg whites available, just tell the skillet), sausages, bacon, toast (white and whole grain), over-easy’s, eggs benedict, pancakes (tell the pan if you want berries, chocolate chips, etc in it), Belgian waffles, as well as more lunch-ey type stuff . . . cold cuts, bread, rice pilaf, pasta salad, macaroni salad, baked salmon, grilled chicken, house greens. . . and of course dessert. . . all flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt(courtesy of Bertie Botts’, though I did ask them not to include “ear wax”), cakes, pies, petit fours, and a wide variety of fresh fruits and berries!!!

There’s a separate table with a Choose-what-you-want ARP, one for each mom, so just grab one and tell it what you’d like to drink. They are enchanted to know if the person grasping the handle is a mom, so beware! Of course the bar is open for non-moms. ;) hic If the moms bring their kiddies along, there’s also a table with all sorts of juice, milk, soda, and water!

Bon appetit, mom/mum/mutter/mama/madre!!!

Free Elf Happy happy mother’s day!!!!!! We really miss you and hope you return soon!!

And don’t worry, the house elves are having their own mother’s day celebration so they will not be needed to make or clean up from the brunch! I’ve been working on the self-cleaning dish, and it’s almost ready for market!!!! So we will use those today!!

(I just need to get the motivation charm right on them so that they do feel like cleaning themselves! Of course last time I strengthened the motivation charm, they started eating the food of themselves before the person holding the plate could finish! So better this way, for sure!!!)

PB what a lovely prom story, I had a lump in my throat as I was reading it (if I’d been a scene in a book or film then I would have been crying my eyes out at the kiss :-). You missed out one important fact though – was she a real looker? you public (well probably only me actually) wants to know.

Good Afternoon Everyone

Lady Hawke After all the running you have been doing, a day at home sounds nice.

Graymayne It sounds like you are having a fun “Me Day”. I’m not surprised to hear that you all have some form of Mother’s Day. Sad to say but most of our holidays have their orgin from some other country. We are such a mixture ourselves. Lol

Huff Thanks for all your hard work this morning for the mothers and others.

Sydney So glad to hear from you again. It really has been a long time. I don’t think you have posted since I stopped lurking and started posting. Lol

Wolfie I think animals count since they often act like children. They want their fair share of “mothering” too. My Harley dog insists on his “hugs” every day. Lol

Mistic Willow Hope you are having a relaxing day.

It’s a good thing we didn’t plan on going out. The phone has finally stopped ringing. I have had calls from everyone. Even my brothers have called to talk. So the rain has been good for something. If it was a nice day, they would have been outside doing something else. Instead they called me. Lol
