There is news tonight that a new documentary on J.K. Rowling is being prepared by ABC News. This behind the scenes documentary will include “several interviews, the book tour for the final “Harry Potter” installment, and a tour of locations that inspired her characters. It even hints to what the future holds for Harry and his friends.” ABC is working with a UK production company to prepare this documentary which is set to air here in the US in November.

Thanks Sarah!

Niiice!

Finally some fun HP news! I’m putting my thoughts on the trial on hold and we’ll just have to wait and see what the judge says.

In the meantime: boohoo, I don’t have any US channels on my telly! :’-(

@ Moose and Professor Potter

I actually did see the ITV documentary on YouTube, not that long ago- a month or two. They had shown it in our country, but I was very disappointed because it didn’t give us much: turned out that they had cut lots of it out to be able to put it in their half hour programme!!!! :-O

So I checked YouTube and it’s in five pieces, under: JK Rowling, A Year In The Life Of

You got 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5 and 5/5

Enjoy!... :-D

Jo is still a great person and author and after this past week, reading and listening to what she said, did…i am full of admiration of the way she has handled this issue…

Mrs. H.Weasley, I think, by ‘enough is enough’ they mean that there’s been enough JKR interviews on television. I personally think that, as a fan, one can’t get tired of it, because you never know what extra stuff is mentioned that you did not know before! Now if the documentary would turn out to be nothing new, I’d agree, but now we don’t know that, so I greatly look forward to it..! Who knows what we’ll find out!!

This is the same as the ITV1 version;

I think it will just be the itv one, the last ABC documentary on Jo way back in 2001 was exactly the same one as a BBC one, with a different narrator and artwork for the American books edited in

Oh! Yea! Something positive and truthful to look forward to! It will sure help get things going for the HBP opening!

I hope they will mention a lot of the charity and philantropic causes that she is involved with.

Awesome! (As long as I can watch it online that is …)

Emmy: Is that complete, because I had to split mine in 7 pieces when I had put it up? I think that goes to show, that after a while, restrictions are relaxed. And sorry to hear they cut it when it was broadcasted in your country…why they do that? Was all the scenes involving JK’s childhood haircut too horrifying to show on prime time TV…

I do hope I get to see the new one. And as Dorene says, as a fan, cant get enough of JK interviews. I’d listen to her talk about anything.

Anything at this moment that would be positive would be appreciated, to get attention focused where it belongs, and not on those who steal it.

I just hope it’s a decent interview that respects Jo’s work, and brings some new insight on future plans. Please, Documentary Writers – skip this trial nonsense – we are so fed up with it – and move on to something more relevant and note worthy of Jo’s work, her charities, and her new writing.

Yes, the ITV docu on YouTube that I found is, as far as I could tell, the whole thing. Not in 7, but in 5 pieces. Unless I missed two, but I don’t think so… I should check again to make sure though.

@ Professor Potter

Well, just checked part 5/5, and it’s got a short end credit so it’s definitely all on there until the end, unless they sneakily took out a minute or so here and there, but I’m assuming it’s the whole thing :-D

LOL! Just in time to support the HBP movie publicity machine. Wonder what happened to NBC’s domination of all things HP the past few years?

btw: ITV documentary was up on YouTube almost immediately, and has been there ever since.

Absolutely!!! Bring on all things JKR!!! She makes me proud just to be a human being because I can say I am the same species as her.

Ha. I called it. I had a feeling it would just be the ITV one. It’s great that they are doing it though.

For people that haven’t seen the ITV doco the link was posted on this site. If you look under “JK Rowling” news then it should be here. I watched it at Christmas off their website. I could still be there.

Well I hope so that it will be put on internet because I don’t think so that it would be send in Macedonia or on any programme on Cable Tv. If anyone know that this documentary would be put on internet please let me know. I simply love Jo!!!
