Radcliffe and Watson Among 'Most Stylish Teen Stars' from StyleList

Stylelist.com has a new feature online showcasing their picks for the Most Stylish Teen Stars and have included Harry Potter actors Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson on their list. The Harry Potter actors are among the full list of ten young stars including: The Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, and Chris Brown. Stylelist notes Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has an eye for couture that “has made her a fashion force to be reckoned with at the tender age of 17. For the opening of the Vanity Fair exhibit at the London Portrait Gallery, she’s stunning in Burberry Prorsum.” For Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter), the website says:

“In his acting and his fashion choices Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliff [sic], has proven his isn’t afraid to take risks. It’s rare for any man to have the confidence to rock a colored suit and actually pull it off, let alone one who’s only 18 years old.”

Thanks Andie!

i think dan and emma both have great fashion sense, and always look great, but they so could have chosen better pictures! the angles in both are all wrong and i agree with Me, dan’s top half is way disporpotionate (sp?) to his legs, the camera seems to be at a funky angle. also, that is one of my least favorite dresses i have seen emma in, otherwise i usually love what she wears, so maybe that’s just me. anyways, congrats!

Dan does look spiffy in suits.

I will say that Rupert wears awesome t-shirts, but I wouldn’t put him on the list. That’s not necessarily stylish.

As for Emma, I think she does have her own sense of style, obviously. She can wear lovely dresses, but they way she comes up with the whole ensemble doesn’t always go together. I think the last pictures we saw of her at an award show were the Empire Awards (I could be wrong), and that’s a perfect example of what I mean. Her white dress was really nice, but the golden-brown cuff and the black shoes with the dress didn’t seem to fit. It wasn’t really cohesive, y’know what I mean? I think that her very recognizable name, and the fact that she often wears Chanel, grants her a spot on almost any best-dressed list. So yes, I kind of believe she deserves it-she’s stylish with some hiccups-but it’d be better if someone like Katie was on it. She seems to get it right, rather than wrong, most of the time.

Oops, I didn’t mean to cross out the “she’s stylish with some hiccups” part.

Most of the people on the list are terrible. Great that Dan and Emma are, but i think Emma sometimes makes terrible fashion choices, and she wears too pale outfits that don’t suit her. Rupert pretty much looks the same all the time: boring.

black Alpha, a bit of info about Ellen Page, she did a photoshot ery stylish in teenvogue on the May issue, Rupert really needs some sense when it comes to public events.

IMHO Emma looks decidedly uncomfortable in the picture, sort of tom-boyish and angular, not very feminine. Maybe it’s the camera angle.

I really don’t think those shoes would look good with anything, and they certainly don’t look good in this photo. I don’t think it’s the camera angle this time.

Why can’t girls wear pretty dresses instead of “fashionable” ones?

Not really sure why wearing 3-piece suits makes you stylish. If that were the case, then every single male star would be. Heck, they don’t even have to be a star. Stylish is setting trends, or wearing a trend. For instance, Rupert is very stylish. In fact, he dresses more like the Jonas Brothers… except he doesn’t look like an 80s fashion victim. I mean, in the 1950s and 1960s, young men wore suits all the time to events. How is this stylish NOW? Trend setters are more interesting. Rupert doesn’t have to win that, I don’t care, it’s not even a real award. lol But man, if you’re going to list stylish teens, it needs to be someone really wiling to take risks. The day a 3-piece suit is a risk… What this ‘award’ should really be listed as, “The teen stars we think are popular that wear every day suits and ties. No one else counts, no matter how much a trend setter they are.” (Can’t really say the same too much for girls, because, well…)

@Clued, stylish means looking good, not necessarily influential. And with the 3-piece suit objection you have, how is Rupert’s jacket-jeans-tshirt ensemble any more trendy?

I never said that it was a problem with trendiness, in fact, I said that Rupert is more trendy – a lot more than people give him credit for. He’s very stylish. Proven by your comment about what Rupert wears is trendy. What I said is that 3-piece suits have been around so long that they just aren’t that styling. When a man suits up, he looks good. If you’ve ever watched How I Met Your Mother, you’d understand that is why Barney always wants men to suit up because it makes them look good. I’ve seen Dan look stylish without the 3-piece suits. In fact, one of my favorite outfits on him was at the GoF photocall. To me, that was very stylish. Black jeans, purplish dress shirt, tie, etc. Or even the OotP photocall has been more stylish. Especially if he had lost the suit jacket.

Although it is apparent to me that if the Jonas Brothers, who look like they’re stuck in the 80s, can be considered “stylish” then it has nothing to do with style, but who they think is popular.

And once again (as everyone else pointed out) our dear Rupert is left out. T_T No, it’s not that he deserves something like this more than Emma and Dan, it’s just that would it be so hard to recognize this guy for all of his good traits, too?

Yeah, if you’d stop whining, maybe he’d get recognise? What’s so special about the Ruper Grint bloke anyway?

Emma has a great fashion sense and I’m glad she’s on the list, but Daniel Radcliffe….. I’m not so sure. I don’t think he dresses badly as such, I just don’t think that he is particularly well-dressed.

Rupert on the other hand is awesome – he dresses casual and cool and in my opinion should definitely be on the list rather than Dan.

Rupert dresses SO much better then Dan! Its not smart I admit but it is so much cooler. I like the fact that he just doesnt care and wears what he wants…to me that is what fashion is really about. Dan in my opinion is really not fashionable, he looks better in a suit then in regular clothing but even then I just dont think he pulls it off like some. That suit in the picture is awful! Shiny blue! he looks really strange looking in the picture (although I’l be mean and say that I think he is a bit odd looking anyway, sorry!) and Emma, who normally looks fantastic, looks like she has funny legs! I do think Emma deserves this award as although some of her choices dont always go together well she always picks individual peices which are very stylich and fashionable, bang on trend.

whats with dan on his picture? am i the only person who has recognized his short legs- what an odd angle. Emma really does dress well- she just has problems matching some of her trendy clothes. Now, Rupert gets the special award. He doesnt deserve to be in the “most fashionable.” Its such nonsense! Rupert has his own style and its better than emma and dan because its HIS. He isnt influenced by anyone, no no. I would kick the ground and shake my fist in the air if i see him on the “most fashionable” list anywhere.
