Stylelist.com has a new feature online showcasing their picks for the Most Stylish Teen Stars and have included Harry Potter actors Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson on their list. The Harry Potter actors are among the full list of ten young stars including: The Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, and Chris Brown. Stylelist notes Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has an eye for couture that “has made her a fashion force to be reckoned with at the tender age of 17. For the opening of the Vanity Fair exhibit at the London Portrait Gallery, she’s stunning in Burberry Prorsum.” For Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter), the website says:
“In his acting and his fashion choices Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliff [sic], has proven his isn’t afraid to take risks. It’s rare for any man to have the confidence to rock a colored suit and actually pull it off, let alone one who’s only 18 years old.”
My first thought on seeing these pics is: ‘young American celebs really know how to look good at events’. They look so much more ‘with it’. Emma deserves to be on this list.
@Clued and MuggleQueen, I know what you both mean; though I disagree that being trendy equals style sense. Trendy is just copying what’s in the shops and you don’t want a style icon like that.
Rupert’s a normal teen in the way he dresses, but the fact that he does it at Premieres and adds little touches like the GOF jacket shows he has style sense. His simple T shirt and jacket look is boring though if he doesn’t do something a bit different with it each time. I can only remember his GOF look. If he did that kind of thing all the time, he’d be on my style list. But he doesn’t always.
Though I am a Dan fan I agree that Dan isn’t really stylish in the suit sense … although if you’re talking about confidence to stand out, then he definitely has that! (green velvet anyone? :)) But I love Dan’s casual look; tight jeans, faded Tshirt and jacket, which completely ignores teen fashion, so he doesn’t look like he’s wearing a uniform like everyone else. And that takes confidence, or else he simply doesn’t care about fashion, in which case he’s a man after my own heart!
When they give out awards for wearing t-shirts and distressed jeans for any and all occasions, Rupert will win hands down. lol Rupert just does not dress up, which is okay, but will not get him any fashion awards.
Congratulations to Emma and Dan who really are sharp dressers and choose formal clothes for special occasions.
Not a put down for Rupert, I love him too. It just is what it is.

I love Dan’s style and it’s good they noticed it—it works he looks great in both suits and jeans with t’s and jackets.

and he can wear what he wants these kind of copititions are of no real importance.

Emma is a beautiful girl, but… I don’t think her sartorial choices are generally all that wise. She’s not at her best in the pic they used – washed out by the dress’ color and that ruched skirt is pretty awful. Just because something’s couture doesn’t make it stylish. There’s a reason she’s a regular feature on Go Fug Yourself. Style-wise, she seems to have more misses than hits.

That’s normal for Dan. He does have a large head, literally and figuratively haha! And so wearing see-thru panties is now stylish. Who cares about the stylish clothes when its what under there that they care about lol And if Rupert is boring with the shirt-jeans-jacket, Dan is more boooooo-ring with his suits all the time.
Attacks on this silly subject about people personally are rediculious.

if Dan has a large head it is mearly a sign of intelligence[and he is in no way big-headed figuratively—cut the attacks please! none of the actors deserve that attitude] -and that has ‘nothing’to do with style or fashion

i am sure were it up tp Dan,Emma or Rupert they would all be on there or none not at all—they have ’’no’‘say over the matter but or merely observers like we all are.
Its really pathetic that the Rupert fans do nothing but moan all the time. The Sunday Times Rich List will out soon, something all three of the trio will be featured in (and JKR). Stop moaning, he’s not a stylish teen for a reason.
