Stylelist.com has a new feature online showcasing their picks for the Most Stylish Teen Stars and have included Harry Potter actors Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson on their list. The Harry Potter actors are among the full list of ten young stars including: The Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, and Chris Brown. Stylelist notes Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has an eye for couture that “has made her a fashion force to be reckoned with at the tender age of 17. For the opening of the Vanity Fair exhibit at the London Portrait Gallery, she’s stunning in Burberry Prorsum.” For Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter), the website says:
“In his acting and his fashion choices Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliff [sic], has proven his isn’t afraid to take risks. It’s rare for any man to have the confidence to rock a colored suit and actually pull it off, let alone one who’s only 18 years old.”
Why is it “too bad that Rupert didn’t get in?” I don’t understand why they all have to be on everything together. When the hottest red-heads list comes out, should we all boo hoo and say “too bad Dan didn’t get on the list”.
And to the poster that said Dan has a large head figuratively and literally – no interview or anything I’ve ever heard from him would indicate that. In fact, he seems very humble and charming.
As to Emma – while her style is not to my personal taste – she has been noted upon frequently as being very fashionable and coutre. It’s not just this list – it’s everywhere.
Finally – the funny thing is – that same photo was used in a list where the Jonas Brothers were called out as being the worst dressed – can’t remember where – Nick Jr. awards perhaps?
Hah, Dan always looks so funny when he poses for the camera. He has the biggest smile, his arms are relaxed at his sides…he looks like an action figure.
Dan and Emma are both reasonably deserving, imo. Emma’s made some really questionable fashion choices at times, but she’s begun to find her “voice,” as it were, with some great selections recently.
The style leader of the young cast, however, is Evanna Lynch. Quirky, memorable…everything someone who JKR says “IS Luna” should be, fashion-wise. Her more recent choices have been maturing along with her, but have never been of questionable taste. The kid’s just got it…
Hmm, I can’t really agree about Evanna. I don’t think she’s a bad dresser, but I don’t think she’s an especially good or “stylish” one, either. I don’t think her outfits are especially “quirky”. On the contrary, I think most of them are rather traditional and predictable. Not bad, just… not anything to write home about.
And… I’m just going to say it… she needs to cut her hair. Really. The hair itself is lovely, but it’s far too long, making it appear stringy and unattractive, in my opinion. It would look much, much better if she cut about 6 or 7 inches off. Yes, yes (I can hear you all shouting), Luna is SUPPOSED to have “straggly” hair, so Evanna’s hair DOES fit the character well. But they do have hair extensions that can be used in the films to make Luna’s hair straggly, you know. The stringy look might fit Luna, but it does not suit Evanna. Every time I see a picture of her, I can’t help feeling an impulse to take a pair of scissors and get rid of all those straggly ends.
I do like Evanna very much, though, so no need to pelt me (too much) with rotten tomatoes! ;)
I have to say as a Rupert fan, I’m not to plussed about him not getting nominated for this award.
Emma does pay alot of attention to fashion, so I can see her getting this.
Dan, I don’t really know. I don’t pay that much attention. I know that he does wear suits and gets styled up for photoshoots. As far as his off set look, he looks like your average guy. I do like his hats to some extent.
As for Rupert, I think that it’s cute that he goes for what he knows. Sure, it’s predictable, but those shirts and blazers he wears are NICE!!!
When I think about a fashion award, I think of someone who causes people to want to dress like them.
I can see young girls wanting to dress like Emma and guys appreciating her outfits.
I know Rupert fans appreciate how Rupert dresses (even if we wouldn’t mind a bit of a shock.) I’m sure males aren’t lining up around the block investing in blazers, chucks and graphic tees (actually, for the brief stint I worked in a clothing store, the models in the style update book were wearing, jeans, tees, blazers and chucks. NO LIE!!!), but I’ve met girls who’s bought Chuck just because he wears them (this one lady who had a pair of USA flag Chucks just because he has some.) Also, I just LOVE his goggles jacket!!!
The same for Dan, I don’t know what males are dying to go shirtless in a leather jacket or sport a long all green velvet suit, but I can see the hats ( I like the hats.) I’m not sure what girls are into as far as hiim clothes wise. (I don’t follow too much.) But, I’m sure that his fans sport stuff that just screams DAN to them.
All in all, CAN’T WE JUST GET SOME HBP MOVIE NEWS AND BE DONE WITH IT!!!
I sympathize. We are WAY overdue for some official HBP movie pictures. I wonder what the holdup is? It seems like we had a lot more info about OotP than we’re getting for HBP.
HBP is almost finished filming, we should be getting both some stills and the trailor soon—doesn’t the trailer come out in May??
I’m ready for the HBP blitz to begin-please bring it on WB—-please!!!!!!!!!
Emma’s dress wasn’t all that bad in that picture, but I think they should have shown the one she wore at the London premiere of OotP. That was a really cute dress. But Dan’s are just …. plain, I guess?
All I know is I like the fact Radcliffe is a person who has his own personality. He wears want he likes and what makes him feel comfortable, not what a certain designer label tells to him.
Some other actors and actresses are more worried about what they wear that about their acting. They are more models than actors.
So I just can say I like Radcliffe is not like that, he takes acting seriously, and other stuff doesn’t matter. He doesn’t try to be what he is not, and he doesn’t try to look “cool”, things other young actors try too hard.
Ron ripped apart the Firebolt's wrappings.[br]"Nothing! Blimey, who'd spend that much on you?"[br]"Well," said Harry, feeling stunned, "I'm betting it wasn't the Dursleys."
Poor Rupert, but he’s in a style category all his own.
