Stylelist.com has a new feature online showcasing their picks for the Most Stylish Teen Stars and have included Harry Potter actors Dan Radcliffe and Emma Watson on their list. The Harry Potter actors are among the full list of ten young stars including: The Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, and Chris Brown. Stylelist notes Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) has an eye for couture that “has made her a fashion force to be reckoned with at the tender age of 17. For the opening of the Vanity Fair exhibit at the London Portrait Gallery, she’s stunning in Burberry Prorsum.” For Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter), the website says:
“In his acting and his fashion choices Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliff [sic], has proven his isn’t afraid to take risks. It’s rare for any man to have the confidence to rock a colored suit and actually pull it off, let alone one who’s only 18 years old.”
Having an ice cream van makes you funny? Its different types of humour, Rupert thinks Al Murray is funny, Dan think Peter Cook and Alan Partridge are, which is more to my liking.
It makes me so mad that Rupert never gets on these lists because they have seriously cut down his character in the movies. Hopefully this next one will change all of that.
yes, having an icecream truck is a real knee slapper. It’ll surely win him comedy prizes oO .
well I’d say most people think Dan is funnier in interviews. Going by what Emma has said, i’d think Dan was being himself too ;) . I’d say rupert had quite the limited vocab in his interviews- he seems to say the exact same thing in his interviews. I think i’d have to also go by what people who actually meet and talk to these guys, like the reporters and other lucky sods who get to go onset . Also when people say that rupert barely says anything while Dan was the one who went out of their way to make them feel comfy…eh, different shakes i guess.
Going by red carpets is a little odd, as no one gets much time with them there at all. Also, they have handlers there, and Dan, as the star, would have more publicity responsibilities than others. I read that for at least for one of the NYC affairs (POA?) , Dan wasn't allowed near the crowd .
Going back to the original topic, i agree with francine , Rupert just doesn’t wear clothes well, even those dressy suits. He looked so rumpled compared to that narnia guy or the hp guys. Maybe Emma can help him out there lol.
Ya know radcakesfan, I prefer Dan as well, but I really don’t understand your Us Versus Them attitude when it comes to Dan fans and Rupert fans. I don’t know why you feel compelled to pop up and unfavorably compare Rupert to Dan every time someone makes even the slightest whisper of suggestion that they personally think Rupert is (oh horror of horrors!) funnier or whatever than Dan.
I mean, I would expect that sort of “OMG no way, my guy is sooooo much better than your guy!” behavior from a 13-year-old fangirl, but…
Yeah, at first I was sort of defending Dan (and Emma), and (perhaps a bit sanctimoniously, I admit) lecturing the Rupert fans a little. But now, after reading the last couple of rather snide, condescending remarks from supposed Dan fans (How dare we think owning an ice cream van is humorous!!! It’s totally stupid!!! But of course, if Dan was the one who owned the ice cream van, how much do you want to bet that they’d be saying it’s the most LOLarious thing ever?), I’m wanting to defend Rupert a lot more.
They’re teenage boys, for heaven’s sake. And by all accounts, they are friends. They get along just fine, and wish each other well. We are the ones who’ve turned it into this epic Dan Vs. Rupert smackdown. Considering most of us (myself included) are adults, I have to admit I’m a little embarrassed for us. It’s just so silly and juvenile.
Emma, it’s not Dan v Rupert v Emma fans etc that annoys me, it’s the wading in of ‘it’s so unfair Rupert isn’t there’ nonsense. It’s pointless and doesn’t happen if it’s the other way round. Victim syndrome doesn’t cut it with me. And no, i dont think ice cream vans are funny, they are bloody annoying too.
Really? It NEVER happens if it’s the other way around, Miriam? So you’re saying that whenever anyone has praised Rupert for being funny, or for being a good comedy actor, Dan/Emma fans have NEVER rushed forward and started in on the “Nuh-uh! That’s not fair! Dan is WAAAAY funnier, and everyone says so, so NYAH!” stuff? You’re saying that’s never happened?
Please. It happens all the time. It’s happened right here in these comments. Hell, it’s happened right here on this PAGE of comments.
Believe it or not, I actually DO prefer Dan. His personality, sense of humor, and looks are simply more to my own personal taste. But I don’t feel the need to stomp my foot and put Rupert down every time someone else prefers HIM to Dan. And I don’t understand why some other Dan fans DO feel the need to do that.
I agree with Emma Kelly that there’s something embarrassing about the way ADULTS, some of whom are middle-aged parents, insist on pitting teenage boys against each other. It’s so high school.
Alison, i was referring to the lists Dan/Emma appear on, and the fact that Rupert fans are forever up in arms that he isn’t included. I dont recall saying Dan was funnier than Rupert, i prefer one type of humour over another.
Sorry people, i’m just doing what most others were doing on the other 5 pages. There were all those other pages of comments dissing Dan and Emma, are you really surprised that other fans should finally speak up? I should say it’s my opinion, but certain fans are always chiming in on stuff about Dan and Emma, so i see no difference. It’s worse elsewhere , so i’m get irritated. I believe i did state what seems to be a more commonly held opinion. You gotta admit that some statements are kind of weird. Really ice cream vans aren’t really all that funny. It’s old now.
"[Sirius] is here at my invitation," said Dumbledore, looking between them, "as are you, Severus. I trust you both. It is time for you to lay aside your old differences and trust each other."[br]Harry thought Dumbledore was asking for a near miracle. Siri
