UPDATE: Thanks to WB who confirmed to us that indeed, supposed early marketing and a new photo of Dan Radcliffe from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as seen on this website, is indeed fake.
By the way, I didn’t mean anything by saying Dan looks older. Obviously at some point he will no longer look like a 15 year old. I just meant he looked like he was in his mid-twenties because he was so polished looking.
I expect that the Dan part is indeed a new photo, but that company created the “poster.”
Yeah, it’s not really a movie poster, it’s just for toys and stuff like that. I’m also more interested about the castle. By the way, you can see it’s a new pic of Harry, because of his hearcut. It’s a bit different from the one he had in OOTP.
I think it’s kinda cool that they’re using the same pose quite a lot, because now it is a big feature of the HP features. I agree that it’s not a very exciting poster though.
That’s if it is real. Like Vic said – I’m sure WB would spell the title correctly before they released anything like this so maybe it is a fake idk.
Heh, I love masterofmystery’s comment (on the LJ community) that you can always tell which movie a picture is from by simply looking at Dan’s hair. LOL. It’s so true.
I do kind of agree with Amy S that the same old pose is becoming rather yawn-worthy. I do wish they’d try to shake things up a bit. Still, at this point, I’m just happy to have a picture, ANY picture, from HBP.
Now, bring on the trailer and the hi-res images! Please please please!
German is my native language, sparkling – it IS one word in german, that’s what’s my point.
The cardboard stand spells it in two words (“Halbblut Prinz”) and why should WB do that? They’d be checking if the title were correct before releasing any merchandising ;)
I’m not saying one way or the other if the picture is fake, but I do think it’s interesting (not in a snotty way, but in an observational way) that people are so QUICK to assume something is fake.
What I really find intriguing is that they usually base their belief on whether or not they personally LIKE the picture, or the scene, or whatever. I.e., “I don’t like the picture, so it’s a fake.” Remember a while back when the infamous “leaked scene” featuring an attack on the Burrow surfaced? Lots of people insisted, very loudly, that it HAD to be fake, and the vast majority of them seemed to be convinced it was fake because, basically, THEY JUST DIDN’T LIKE IT. Again, “I don’t like that scene, so it’s a fake.”
Once again, I’m not saying one way or the other whether this picture, or the “leaked scene”, is fake (I wouldn’t be surprised either way). I’m just observing that we’re awfully quick to assume that “I don’t like it” automatically equals “fake”.
So, um, the picture itself. It’s… okay. Kind of boring. Dan’s hair does match the other pics we’ve seen from HBP.
Black was sprawled at the bottom of the wall. His thin chest rose and fell rapidly as he watched Harry walking slowly nearer, his wand pointing straight at Black's heart.[br]"Going to kill me, Harry?" he whispered.
