Professor Potter

Dont forget poor Colin who was the only underaged fallen hero who obviously had wanted to fight for Hogwarths and bravely and sneakily stayed back despite being told to go with the other children through the secret passage to Aberforth. I felt my my heart pierce (it happened several moments in this book!) when I read him being brought out amongst the dead.

Jo states it is the date in the documentary done on the last year she was writing Deathly Hallows. She also writes up a nice family tree of the Weasleys which states very clearly (still available for viewing on her site) that Fred dies in 1997….which, I think makes this year the 11th anniversary. ?

: )

I haven’t read through all the comments…I could totally be saying something we already know!

ocm – most people forget that while the 7th book starts in ‘97, the new year still happens. the battle was May 2nd, 1998.

I had the worst day ever today, and I cam home and remembered, and almost started crying. I’m such a nerd…. Off to work on my poem! <3

Fred, Lupin, Tonks, Snape and even Colin Creevey… I was so sad when they died, I wish I could do a eulogy for all of them! I can’t choose! I will still remember them…always. R.I.P. I happen to have a shrine in my room to the characters who died, mostly made of NECA figures or Gentle Giant busts of the characters. Which two should I do? Well, Fred, definately, but for the other one, should I do Lupin, Snape, or Tonks?

Ode to the Fallen

This is one I do for you. And other can copy

I write this down for not the living But for the departing.

Fred you were so young. Colin you were even younger

For Tonks and Lupin what about Teddy Your son you are departing.

We know that death will take us all. Later rather than sooner.

But to have you waiting for us to meet you Will be a grand of Death day Suiter.

Only fifty words? Wow, my initial poem was over 300 words… took quite a job to cut that down, and now I’m stuck on 57 words, with no escape in sight.
