Over the weekend, Collectormania was held in Milton Keynes in England, where actress Natalia Tena took part in an autograph session with fans. Emma, from the Snitchseeker, was able to speak to the actress about her role in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. According to the report, Natalia Tena says her character Tonks “was only on set for the part where Death Eaters attack the Burrow at Christmas (where Harry & Weasleys are present). She said that none of the angst of her character is there – indeed, she and Lupin are just suddenly a couple when they meet there.”

The actress goes on to give a few thoughts as well about “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” and what happens to Tonks during the book, with Tena noting in the film version, she ” would love to have to ride a broom with a pregnant belly.”

Thanks to Snitchseeker for mailing!

LOL. Lupin is totally going to look like he’s on the rebound after Sirius if there’s no angst about “too old/poor”.

On one hand, I’m glad the hospital scene’s been cut, because it did detract from the main line of events, but on the other hand, it kinda cuts any depth from their relationship. Which makes me wonder what the point is – if they’re the couple meant to replace Bill/Fleur, surely they need a bit more significance?

who cares

How does harry get off the train? Simple the same way he did in the book it just won’t be Tonks who saves him besides it’s not like it really matters who saves him anyway.

guys i suggest we wait for the trailer and the pics to decide or we wait for any OFFICIAL annoucements from WB or magazines ok? coz by reading those news now, u are ruining the movie before u see it and remember dont judge a book by its cover or dont judge a movie by its news!!:D:D

“who cares” – i guess it doesnt matter really who does it, if anyone, if they are not putting the tonks story in with change of patronus…..........

I’m of the idea of Snape getting Harry off the train. One can wish :D

Who cares

Confessing: I am kinda sad that Tonks isn’t in the train scene. I was looking forward to it and it doesn’t really make sense not to have her in it considering she is in the movie but it doesn’t change anything important so I suppose it’s okay with me.

Lady Whizbee

As far as the train is concerned, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not Neville and Ginny who find Harry as they were both with him in the previous scene in Slughorn’s compartment. Particularly if they have the same dialog (from the book) as they walk down the corridor of the train following Blaise Zabini…it just makes sense.

Not that I don’t want more Tonks/Remus in the movie or anything, because I do! :-)

I’m speechless that they would cut DD’s funeral. But, alas, I have to remind myself that the books are so great that any movie made from them is probably going to pale in comparison. So I just enjoy the movie for the special effects and try to ignore the blasphemy that is done to the canon.

I was just going to say that Lady Whizbee. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Ginny that finds Harry and they make it off the train just in time but still have to walk up the hill, Snape catches them and gives them both detention.

This could help with the whole Harry falling for Ginny explanation for the non book fans. The more they are together the better.

I’m just going to pretend I didn’t read it BUT if the funeral is cut then I will be so hacked off when I walk out of that theatre.

Okay, I’ll clear up what I said earlier: I was talking to Nat Tena and she mentioned that Dumbledore’s funeral was being cut from the movie. I agree that this is not an official announcement because it was just a conversation between an actor with a minor part and a fan but as far as she knows, it look as though it is going to be cut. It is possible that the producers will change their minds but I personally think it’s doubtful. I want to see Dumbledore’s funeral as much as the next fan and I hope it isn’t true.

okay, so wait. someone made a good point in like the first page of comments. if tonk’s only scene is @ the burrow, who is gonna find and rescue harry on the train after draco attacks him? because we know for sure draco attacking scene is gonna be there because remember that little video about halfbloodprince, and we see a clip of draco, and he’s like “Patrificus totalous!!!!!!!!!” (im sorry, i spelled that so wrong) and he looks really hot. anyway… need tralier…

That stinks. I was hoping they would leave the Tonks/Lupin stuff in the movie. At least they’re still going to be a couple, but it’s going to be really confusing for people who haven’t read the books.

I’m not too bothered about Tonks’s angst being cut out, since it really would have been kinda pointless in the movie, especially for those who haven’t read the book. But what about DH? Are they going to cut out the bits about their baby? No, please no! It’s one of the most beautiful moments in the book! :( But oh well.

Attack on the Burrow during Christmas… this had better make sense in the movie (and better be done well too!), or I’ll be very **.

And if the thing about Dumbledore’s funeral being cut out as well is true, then, oh no, nonononono. They can’t do that. Just… can’t.

Rachel, I’m pretty sure it’s allready been stated that the entire Bill and Fleur storyline is out. In terms of the wedding I think they are going to build up the Remus/Tonks relationship to take the spot left open by cutting Bill/Fleur. That means that a wedding between Lupin and Tonks will take place at the begining of the Deathly Hallows movie and they’ll probably apparate to Lupin’s home after the malfoy mansion scene. That way Harry would be there to see the birth of his godson which, in terms of the movie, would make a lot of sense. As an avid Lupin/Tonks shipper I’m glad that they’re including the relationship in the movie at all. I was very afraid they would cut it out entirely. So, even though the bulk of their story is gone, at least we get a little taste. And (if the movie makers go the way I speculated) we’ll get a lot more of them in DH!

RLNT

I’m fine with this, well kind of. And I am a HUGE RLNT shipper/fan. The only thing that really bothers me is that when I first read/listened to JKR’s live reading of the first chap of DH on the night before it came out, I was so excited when I’d heard that Remus and Tonks got married, because although she hinted at the fact that they were a couple… well, idk. But I was pretty excited.

Then again, now that I think about it, I s’pose it’s fine. :/ Just a minor disappointment to me. I felt that the angst sort of gave a bit more info to Remus’ character.
