I dunno … it kind of blows off the fairy dust and takes away the magic for me.

Well i think the set with the trees is where the ministry wizard sees the the signs of little hangleton and greater hangleton and start walking toward the gaunts

what is this about the Burrow being under attack and set on fire? I can understand for DH, but HBP Scrimgeour would never authorize that type of activity, well on the Weasley’s at least. I thought Harry was suppose to have special protection in HBP from the ministry…I mean I know they don’t go by the book, but adding a fire scene?

I agree with Confederate Lady I think there are surprises that they are holding for us…they can’t tell us/confirm everything we ask.

Also, I agree this looks like the Burrow and I think it’s too early to tell if the courtyard would be used as the astronomy tower…it’s been featured in a lot of the movies, but who knows…it could merely be a passing of students shot or familiar birds-eye view of Hogwarts. Also, they tear down and re-build a lot, so it’s optimistic to think Privet drive might still be included. I’m so excited though…this will be great!!

That new courtyard looks SO stupid and ugly. If there’s going to be a big fat tower indenting halfway into it, then the least they could have done is make the coutyard twice as bigger. There’s no such thing as having a courtyard with a round tower taking up one third of its space. No architect would have done that. That just looks silly.

Man, that looks just amazing!! Is that Hagrid’s patch, in front of a whole lot of blue screens???

A friend of mine, who works for local telly, had to go to london on a day’s notice to interview cast/crew and visit the sets, because her colleague was sick.

I’m so gonna kill her for not bribing her boss into taking me with her!!! Look at those sets!! I love it. That’s Hollywood for ya-

“Agreed, Dawn. Seeing all the blue screens and tatty grass makes it all seem so, well, artificial. (what? you mean there really ISN’T a Hogwarts?)

I personally think this makes it all even more magical! It’s a world that’s momentarily out there, but afterwards you can never revisit. It’s the magic of movie making! You walk to a set, and you first see the back of it all, or the blue screens or whatever, and you see how they do all their ‘tricks’, which is always fun to find out. Then you step onto the real set and you suddenly find yourself inside the world of Harry Potter! It’s like reading a book- when you get hold of it, you know it’s not real, you see it’s ‘just’ a story. But then you open it and you get into the story, and you love every minute of it and it feels incredibly real. Then you close the book, and it’s gone…

Or sort of anyways. That’s how I see it. I’d LOVE to visit those sets! It’s the closest one could get!

(well, ok, soon the closest one can get to the hp world will be the theme park, but you get my drift…)

Maybe the trees within the four walls are needed for when Harry hears Snape and Dumbledore argue, and understands it all wrongly?

Its definitely not the Gaunt shack. I’m absolutely sure of it. Just compare the structure with the Burrow from CoS

look: Set picture: http://www.portkey.it/images/reportageddsds/tanans.jpg

Burrow: http://www.portkey.it/images/reportageddsds/6.jpg

It still has that weird garage-tunnel thing.

It is weird that the garage-tunnel thing is now on the wrong side of the burrow. Or one of the pictures (either the picture of the film or the film of the set) is mirrored?

Yeah, you could be right. Or maybe it’s supposed to be the entryway to Hogwarts when they first arrive on the train. If I remember correctly, that had rows of trees similar to that set. You know the passageway that the Thestrals pull the carriages through. Except in this case, it would be Tonks/Neville/Ginny/Snape walking with Harry from the train with his broken nose.

Guys, here is definitive evidence that the funeral scene is IN That’s a quote from Davide Yates in an old interview: “Steve has taken the funeral from the book and written a beautiful scene in a very poignant, plaintive and special way.” There you go.

No, you’re looking at the back side of The Burrow in the new pic. Look at the both more closely.
