Thanks to the BBC, we can now see some new aerial footage of Leavesden Studios in England, including new sets of the Burrow, Privet Drive, a courtyard, Hagrid’s Hut, a train station/platform, possibly the base/grounds outside the astronomy tower and more being used for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. To watch, click here.UPDATE:Thanks to the galleries crew, you can now see the footage here in our video galleries, screencaps are available here in our image galleries You can also see a clear shot of the new Burrow or what they are thinking may possibly be the Gaunt house set here via Newsround.
I can’t view the video, and I’m in France. It just goes on searching and searching…
It’s so sad that the Gaunt house isn’t in, I thought it explained a lot of things.
@ Cat: there are quite a few names, that have not been added, at IMBd [ I tend to follow what THEY say, before others]....sometimes,. they keep that quiet until the “last minute” Personally, I think they WILL keep the Dursleys in this one….
All right, y’all are making me feel more optimistic about seeing the Dursleys! :) I guess Richard Griffiths’ saying they weren’t in it is why I’m assuming they’re not, but perhaps they’ve changed their mind and didn’t let us know. Do you all remember the pic of Harry and Dumbledore in a living room that really looked like the Dursleys? I know everyone was saying it must be Slughorn’s house (or I should say the one he commandeered) when Harry and Dumbledore go to “persuade” him to come out of retirement, but I still say it looked VERY much like the Dursleys…. ‘Course, it may be that they’re having Dumbledore come get Harry while the Dursleys are out (which seems fairly ridiculous), but we shall see. Staying optimistic! :)
@ Confederate—there are tonnes of towers they could’ve used for the astronomy tower: the tower they use to lock Sirius up in, the tower in the center of the right hand side of hogwarts (see pictures of durham cathedral if you dont know what i mean) the set of towers just off the transfiguration courtyard. :S
What they’ve said is the Gaunts’ is actually the newly built exterior Burrow set which they’ve obviously created for the added attack scene (and maybe DD speaking to Harry outside at the beginning). As for Privet Drive being there, it’s always left standing, it was there during the GoF production and it wasn’t used in that movie.
...not to mention it would be quite something to have Dumbledore inexplicably walking with harry to Slughorns with no explanation. We do know they apparate there.
Harry descended the stairs, very conscious of everybody still staring at him, stowing his wand into the back pocket of his jeans as he came.[br]"Don't put your wand there, boy!" roared Moody. "What if it ignited? Better wizards than you have lost buttocks
