We don’t know for certain if Dumbledore’s funeral has been cut. Our only source is some random poster from Snitchsneeker who said she asked Tena about it. Don’t freak out just yet.

When did they say that they cut the funeral??? There isn’t any other scene in the books that made me cry that much…I hope that’s not true! mollywobble…could you please give me a link or sth for that? I mean..I have no problem with all the other cuts or the things that they have added but they shouldn’t exclude the funeral…

I hate to play captain obvious, especially after several others have pointed this out too, but I have to agree with Mollywobble’s that is not the Guant’s but the base of the burrow and the rest will be put in via cgi {or whatever the hell they are calling it these days} later and the same thing goes for the other thing that looks like it has been cut off after the first story, I think that is the North tower and it will be filled in later with cgi. I do not think they have add anything new per say, I just think you are not seeing enough to grasp what you are really looking at.

As for Pivot drive, one of the interviews they had with one of the producers made a big deal about how it was cheaper to build a mock up of Pivot drive, rather than trying to rent the place that was in the first movie for every movie, so if the Dursley’s are not going to be in this one, it is just sitting there for the next movie.

To anyone who asked when they’re going to stop filming, they’re just about finish filming.

Seriously, what on Earth is up with WB? I’m really getting impatient with the lack of news, goddamnit. Wouldn’t we usually at least have some HQ screen caps? And the teaser trailer is still 10 days away .

I’d be happy with anything at this point. Like, say , set visits. Interviews. Anything.

Very cool! That is so weird how they have the completely different sets right next to each other. It’s like a train set or something.

I am surprised no one said anything about hargid’s hut being messed up like it was burnt when Snape and Draco were fleeing and fang was inside. :) Also, I think the built the astronomy tower instead of using a location so they could keep that scene more private from on lookers. Sure they could have used one of the towers used in one of the other movies but then they would be on location and then someone could a have snapped a photo of the most important scene in the movie. As for the remark some one made yesterday about the funeral being cut. Lets not all jump the gun on that made Nat was joking with this fan and the fan took here seriously. I doubt that scene would be cut could you image the hate mail WB would get. I think WB know that is one scene that could never be cut and be ok with the fans and I think JKR might want it in the movie also but that is just my thinking. :)

You can also see the Quidditch goal the use to film both sides to the left of the courtyard bridge that leads to Hagrids hut.

I wonder when this footage was taken. It’s possible they’ve built new sets since then.

Natalie, this is no source for that information. That’s why i said not to freak out. The “source” was one random fan on snitchseeker. So there’s no reason to get upset or worried right now.

Omg they had better not have cut the funeral scene.

That was one of the best parts of the book, it would be completely diabolical to cut it out! (Not freaking out mollywobble, I’m just ever-so-slightly on edge now =/)

I also hope they haven’t cut the Dursleys or Gaunts out either. I’m not so bothere about the Dursleys but the Gaunts were such a key part of the story!

@Simon: I haven’t looked at pictures of the Cathedral, but what I have seen, of the “movie” Hogwarts they have used in the past, I cannot see one that would work. Also, they said in an interview, that they were having to build the tower. Perhaps the tower[s] that you’re discussing were not available to them for filming…? I still think that the configuration of the courtyard is more in keeping with the description in the book…Rocks and Clliffs and such [as I said earlier] are not in “keeping” with the description in the book. Let’s all take a breath [me included] and wait [although that’s a hard thing to do] Don’t ‘second guess” them….it’s gonna be GREAT!!!

Cool pictures! The set builders and set designers on the HP films are pretty darn awesome! But I really really want to see the teaser trailer for the new movie. Hopefully it will be released sometime this weekend or next weekend.

So what picture is that? The House of Gaunt or the Burrow? And I thought they were cutting out the House of Gaunt. It kind of looks like the Burrow ‘cause you can see were the chicken coop is. But they said it was the House of Gaunt. To bad their wasn’t any sound. But still that was ok footage. Now alls we have to do is wait for the Half-Blood Prince trailer to come out online.
