It would seem our streak of good news has come to an end, as Coming Soon.com is reporting today they have confirmed the trailers that will be shown before the new Batman film, “The Dark Knight,” and a teaser trailer for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is NOT among those listed. Putting an end to the earlier rumors that at long last we might see a teaser trailer for the sixth Harry Potter film, Coming Soon also speculates that they believe it might be shown as late as August 15, in front of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” however that is unconfirmed at this time. So its back to the waiting and guessing time again folks, sorry!
Patty, I agree with you! I’m losing interest in the Half-Blood Prince film as well, because, apart from a few pictures, there is no hype for this film whatsoever. Whenever I mention it coming out, most people have no idea at all.
grrr…... when are we going to see this trailer?? It’s bad marketing. We’ve seen the Twilight trailer weeks ago, and that’s coming out later than Harry Potter. This isn’t helping create buzz. It’s just creating buzz (read: annoyance) within the HP community, which is ALREADY GOING TO GO SEE IT!!! There isn’t a book to help boost sales. A bit of early buzz could go a long way. Bad move to wait so long on a trailer. (Plus, it just pisses me off.)

Currently 16 tracks have been or are being composed for the HBP movie. Hedwig’s Theme is again used as a motif on more than one occasion. From the current working copies, the soundtrack (in it’s present, unfinished state) seems loads better than OotP. Mr. Hooper has thoroughly outdone himself. I’m not an audiophile however, so don’t take my word for it.
I saw quite a few requests after my latest comments for more news on HBP. I think it’s pretty obvious now as to why I give out only tiny tidbits. Most of the big “boom” news/photos etc. is being pushed out in a timely fashion by WB. I want no part in messing that up.
All I can say is: I hope it’s released on August 11 (my burfday!) so I can has an epic birthday present. Maybe it’ll come with Mamma Mia! (cause Julie Walters is in it)
I think the bigger joke is nothing at Comic-Con. I mean it is a great place to have some footage shown, and we know Leaky will be there so the buzz could be good.
I feel like the WB is taking Harry for granted, they feel there is no real need for marketing because the name alone will bring in 100 mil. on opening weekend. I suspect that this may be a bad film as well, we have heard of mnay changes (adding material, not having a proper ending, no Scrim.) and if they release a trailer it will give us Potter fans a chance to pick it apart and create bad buzz. So by having only trailer they minimize the buzz, and just ride the name of Harry Potter to the big bucks.
I would also trust Comingsoon.net, they are one of the good movie sites, and are rarely wrong.
I’m getting impatient. BUT, maybe WB has something good up their sleeve and then we all won’t be disappointed when we actually see the trailer. HA! Scratch that! I’m effing impatient & I need a trailer like I flipping need oxygen! I don’t give a damn if the trailer sucks butt, I need one NOW!
Anyway, I’ve lost hope in everything… So whatever. No need to hope on the trailer anymore. I’ve no patience for that. I guess when I see the trailer, I`ll see it. =|

There’s no reason for it to be with Dark Knight. That film has its own hype. It’ll be attached to something less guaranteed to succeed I’m sure.
And REALLY? There HAS to be a trailer? People already know it’s coming out anyways.
