It would seem our streak of good news has come to an end, as Coming Soon.com is reporting today they have confirmed the trailers that will be shown before the new Batman film, “The Dark Knight,” and a teaser trailer for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is NOT among those listed. Putting an end to the earlier rumors that at long last we might see a teaser trailer for the sixth Harry Potter film, Coming Soon also speculates that they believe it might be shown as late as August 15, in front of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” however that is unconfirmed at this time. So its back to the waiting and guessing time again folks, sorry!
I have had it with Warner Brothers. I just wish they would hurry up and release the trailer instead of toying with us – we are not going to be any more excited about it if we have to wait longer, we will be even less excited!!!
Or even if they aren’t planning on releasing the teaser trailer then they could at least deny big rumours like this because the whole fandom is just getting false hopes.
Pleeeeease hurry up with the ruddy trailer WB. And you know what, it had better be the best teaser trailer I have ever seen. Otherwise the whole company can expect some nasty jinxes coming their way from me.
Big deal – I’m sure all those ‘losing interest’ will be in the queue opening night, just like me! Now if the movies release was delayed that’d be a different matter. I’m as excited about HBP as ever, especially with Yates directing.
Why am I not surprised? I figured we’d get plenty of notice from WB when it’s coming out, so I wasn’t holding my breath. But this is getting pretty hard to understand and makes me wonder what they’re up to. Have they really decided that HP needs no trailers or marketing? What would WB be spoiling by just giving us a date for the trailer??? I like to think they’ve got something BIG to reveal with it, hence the crazy timeline, but what’s wrong with a date? Unless they’re having to wait on something to complete it and they just don’t know when it’ll happen??? I guess in about ten days we’ll find out if the promises of it coming with the IMAX Dark Knight are legit, but that does seem rather bizarre. You’d think they would want to make that public knowledge to boost their IMAX sales (which are, of course, more expensive than regular theaters). But if you’re right, ||, I’ll doubt ya no more!
I hope Jo realises how peevd off the majority of the fandom are at WB and gives them a good kick up the backside. We know they don’t listen to us…. but hopefully they have enough respect for Jo to listen to her.
Oh who am I kidding. Jo is way too nice to do that but I think someone needs to do something, depserately. Something is not right with this film and I just hope it is at least up to the standard of the previous films.
Corey and Patty, I agree with you both 100%. There has been absolutely nothing on WB’s part to keep people interested or aware of a movie coming out this year.
Too focused on the Dark Knight’s buzz as well as Benjamin Button’s Oscar talk so early on :P
I’ve given up all hope of a TEASER trailer. It’s too late now. Let’s just get the full length trailer already! Does everyone over at WB have fence polls up their butts?
omg i getting tired of this im not going to see star wars just for the trailer i mean hate star wars but i could the trailer come out in the movie coming out on july 11 with hellboy 2 meet dave and journey to the center of the earth well anyway i just want the trailer already
They aren’t keeping our interest? Are you folks nuts? Look at all the comments listed here! Of course, they’re keeping us interested or we wouldn’t be freaking out about the lack of a simple teaser trailer. I really DON’T like this method of ‘advertising’ but I grudgingly must admit it is effective!
People just need to relax!! Back when each book was coming out, we had a nearly two year wait in between! Surely you can wait 4 months for the movie to come out.
"Dobby is going to buy a sweater next, Harry Potter!" he said happily, pointing at his bare chest.[br]"Tell you what, Dobby," said Ron, who seemed to have taken a great liking to the elf, "I'll give you the one my mum knits me this Christmas, I always get
NOOO!!! Grr…. This sucks.
