It would seem our streak of good news has come to an end, as Coming Soon.com is reporting today they have confirmed the trailers that will be shown before the new Batman film, “The Dark Knight,” and a teaser trailer for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is NOT among those listed. Putting an end to the earlier rumors that at long last we might see a teaser trailer for the sixth Harry Potter film, Coming Soon also speculates that they believe it might be shown as late as August 15, in front of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” however that is unconfirmed at this time. So its back to the waiting and guessing time again folks, sorry!
Well, if not with the Dark Knight, then please, PLEASE release it by August 15!! (haha that’s my birthday.. what a present that would be!) But seriously, all this waiting is making me really mad.. what’s the point of delaying the release? As someone said earlier, with no more book releases to support this movie, it’s gonna need a lot of hype if it’s going to do as well as the rest of them. I mean, I know the whole fandom is going to go to see it but what about other people? Come on, WB, just please give us something already!!
i am starting to hate WB. i think they will give the teaser trailer only the day before the itself releases. I WANT THE TEASER TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the hell? Seriously around this time we usually have a teaser and an international trailer. The one thing I really don’t understand is why they can’t give us a date . If they’re going to make us wait for months than they should at least have the goddamn decency to tell us we’re going to have to wait months. We can take waiting patiently for a set date even if it’s a long time away but leaving us behind craving for news for months on end is nothing but torturing the very poeple who’re anxiously looking forward to this movie.
Oh, and I completely agree about being super pumped about the new movie and Yates directing it. He did so good with the 5th, I can’t wait to see what he’s done this time!!!!
Hmm…As a chief projectionist in a cinema in the uk, I know that the trailers for a film are not decided until the week before the film starts showing. Also, they will be different trailers for each print of the film, so my cinema will show 5 prints of the dark knight at the same time, which will have 5 different sets of trailers.
There is no way that they can say for certain that it will not be showing unless Warner Bros are not actually having them manufactured in time.
Everytime I’ve ever seen a teaser or official trailer, it’s nearly always been atleast two months before the movies release. It’s actually a little too soon! If there were to be a teaser trailer, then it would make everyone that much more restless for the movie to come out!
I’d say we’ll see the HBP preview an the end of august or in september, which would be great because my birthday is in september, and it would be a wonderful birthday gift!! =D
I totally agree with Patty (page 1). This is getting really annoying. >> You know, WB, there is a time span where, when you wait with the release of the trailer, it’s for the fans to get even more excited. But then there is a point when the trailer still isn’t released and the fans begin to get really annoyed and pissed off and start losing their interest in the movie (just like Patty said). WB, I think you just stepped over this point!
Oh maaaaaaan this sucks!! Why why why won’t they release a damn trailer? Isn’t this just like, the most frustrating thing ever?? WHY do we have to wait so long?? Do they give no explanation? :( It makes me sad…
Everyone can be mad at WB if you want, but they are playing it pretty smart.
They coud hold the trailer all the way up to a week before the movie premiered, and all of your interests will still be peaked!
No matter what, we are all going to be standing there in line for our movie ticket, so whats the big deal?!
