Bad News: No "Half-Blood Prince" Teaser Trailer with New Batman Movie

It would seem our streak of good news has come to an end, as Coming Soon.com is reporting today they have confirmed the trailers that will be shown before the new Batman film, “The Dark Knight,” and a teaser trailer for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is NOT among those listed. Putting an end to the earlier rumors that at long last we might see a teaser trailer for the sixth Harry Potter film, Coming Soon also speculates that they believe it might be shown as late as August 15, in front of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” however that is unconfirmed at this time. So its back to the waiting and guessing time again folks, sorry!

Thanks Lewis and Nigel!

thats awfully late for a teaser trailer. Im doubting we will even have a teaser any more. They’ll just skip to full trailer.

I would do that too, MuggleQueen. In fact, I’d do that all day!

that’s okay…you know why? Watchmen is gonna blow HP 6 away! YES! And terminator salvation is gonna rock! And it’s the Dark Knight. I’m sorry, I’m a comic book fan first and the genius of Alan Moore trumps Jo. Though she is second on my list, then Will Eisner.

This is stupid. Running it in front of “The Dark Knight” makes more sense. This makes me sad.

I, for one, find this marketing strategy being employed by WB genius. My anticipation for a movie is far greater when much of it is left unknown and unspoiled, with curiosity at a fever pitch. I much prefer this to the barrage of pictures and trailers that accompanied the previous films. So much was given away, and not much was left to the imagination. I like how everything is being released slowly and in a timely fashion. There is nothing worse then seeing everything exciting from a movie before it’s even in theatres. Take for example Spider-Man 3 from last summer.

I actually hope that when the teaser/trailer is released, it really does just TEASE us. 40-50 seconds would be fine by me.

whatever, people have the right to get huffy over this. personally, i’ve spent hundreds on these movies, without me, they couldn’t freakin make this stuff. so i agree, this is BULL.

WB is just determined to squeeze all of the everlasting fun out of HP fandom….

I for one enjoy looking at the trailer 50 million times over before the movie comes out. I like the anticipation that comes months before the movie is released.

I’m not saying give the movie away, but this is the ONLY movie that I follow news on. By not really having anything to go on (until quite recently,) there is nothing to really talk about.

sigh Oh well….... as Hermoine said in PoA, “We’ll wait.”

are you JOKING ME!!!!!!???? This is ridiculous, They’re really losing a lot of fans by doing this.Come on WB, don’t you love us?

OMG!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now I am starting to get seriously angry, way past annoyed. Maybe not until Clone Wars? I have NO interest in seeing that whatsoever. I was prepared to go see The Mummy if I have to, but if it’s in front of the Clone Wars I will wait and catch it online, I am not wasting money on that one so Lucas can wring more $$$ from I guess the only idea he has ever had; would it be too much to ask for him to come up with a NEW concept instead of ever changing versions of the same old movies? Ugh.

I have no desire to see the Clone Wars. I hope I don’t have to pay 6 bucks just so I can see the teaser and walk out. This totally bites. I mean the released the GoF trailer 4 or 5 months before it actually came out. It’s not that soon to release it . Honestly. Get with it WB.
