As noted last week on her official website, actress Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) is in Paris, France for the Spring/Summer fashion week. Today she attended the Christian Dior showing, and you can see new photos of Emma at this event here in our image galleries.

she’s beautiful! I love her outfit. I just read she got mobbed by screaming teens and photographers when leaving. Scary.

Why don’t you make just one post of her appearances in Paris since she’s going to attend at least two more shows??

Because loads of us like to see all the things Emma does. She always looks different, a different dress for each show, and it’s fun to keep up with.

christine: No I didn’t mean that, bad phrasing. I meant: why make seperate posts of all her appearances when you could have them all(at least three)in one long post.

Believe me, I’m very excited to see her in the Fashion Week.

Maybe it’s just a coincidence, without any real meaning, but I can’t help noticing that just as WB publicity as become close to Hermione-less (at least some people posting here feel that is the case) she is extremely evident in the modeling world, and attending virtually all fasions shows. I wonder if this is being done deliberately, perhaps by her agents, as a kind “breakout” gesture, edging away from film (after the Potter series, obviously) in favor of modeling, at least while she is in college. It doesn’t take too long to do a fashion shoot, and they could be worked into a school schedule much more easily than a whole film, which can take a very long time to shoot.

Just a wild guess…I could be completely wrong, but the timing of all this does seem to call at least some attention to itself.

Good theory, Jason. I´ve found it very interesting that only a day or two before the release of the Hermione-free teaser trailer, Emma Watson appeared at the Cartier International Polo Day looking rather smashing. Coincidence? Whow knows, but I liked it. And about her going to all the fashion shows, she´s an adult now and she has the time this year. Next year she´ll be shooting a rather big film, last year she was still in school. I love the photoshots that she did and hopefully, there will be more. Much, much, much better than all the terrible Paparazzi pictures of Emma walking, Emma shoping, Emma getting in and out of cars, Emma´s underwear choice of the day – I don´t want to see all that, I don´t care. I just don´t get how there are people running “fan” sites and publishing just everything … At least Leaky and the other Order Sites respect the people they make fan pages about.

Excellent observations, Appreciator. I’m with you-I thought the Cartier was brilliant, and the subsequent Italian Vogue and Harper’s shoots were very haut couture, and I thought very successful. Maybe it’s just because of overexposure to Potter, but I look forward much more to these high level fashion shoots (and you are right about the ghastly paparazzi pics) than I do Hermione redux. She’s done about all she can do with that. There is no doubt in my mind that she is a legitimate star. It’s not just her natural beauty-which is extraordinary enough-but something that she radiates-it’s hard to put one’s finger on, exactly, but words like “class,” “integrity,” “freshness,” “radiance” come to mind. I had better quit….I’m making myself fair game here for a stinging rebuke from a detractor, :) :)

Wow. I had better send that again. I don’t know how all those lines get in there.

What I love about seeing photos of Emma is that she still looks so overwhelmed by the attention. She manages to look beautiful (not that she has to try) but there’s still a kind of shyness about her.

I mean, she obviously stops to let the photos be taken, but there’s none of the obvious, in-your-face posing that you get from some so called “stars” (Ahem…Paris Hilton). I really love that about Emma (and the rest of the Potter stars are the same actually, especially Dan and Rupert), that she is so down-to-earth, and she never expresses anything but gratitude for the chances she’s had and the work she’s done. It’s really refreshing.

Wow… she is awesome! Go Emma! I’m a huge fan of Emma!

To everyone talking about her possible modeling career…

It WON’T happen. Will she do photo shoots? Will she do campaigns? Probably, even though I personally believe that most celebrities should NOT (I can’t lie, though, I love me some Eva Green in my fashion magazines).

But THESE are models: Sasha Pivovarova: http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/9563/phpjlyjfdpmip0.jpg

Natasha Poly: http://www.vmagazine.com/cms/files/0907jd_npoly420.jpg

Coco Rocha: http://fashr.com/files/images/Coco-Rocha.jpg

just to name a few. As much as I dislike Emma, she is a pretty girl. But she’s a) about 5 inches too short to model b) not very talented at posing c) too fat (size 2 doesn’t do it anymore) to model. Like, she’ll NEVER be a “model.” Get it? She’s NOT a model. Keira Knightly isn’t a model, either, because I know a lot of people compare her with Emma.

Jealous much! and if size 2 is fat, then the ordinary world must be heading for clinical obeisity! Oh and because posing is such an art form!

Yeah, and actually Kate Moss is a lot shorter than most models are, but someone obviously liked something about her (though I’ve yet to figure out what).

Personally though, I’d love to see Emma continue to pursue varied roles rather than become a model. Modelling is one of the unhealthiest careers ever.

Exactly, she’s brilliantly clever, and even if she doesn’t decide to carry on acting, which i don’t think she will, she can do anything she wants to. She’s a great role model for young girls because she’s pretty and clever, and she uses her intelligence.
