New Concept Art including Dumbledore's Funeral for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Movie Art

Artist Adam Brockbank has updated his website again with some truly stunning concept art he did for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Most notable and perhaps most moving, is this lovely and sad piece depicting the funeral for the late great Professor Albus Dumbledore. Fans will recall of course, this scene was not in the film alas.  Other work of note include this sketch of Argus Filch, secrecy sensor in hand as well as the Gnome atop the Christmas Tree at the Burrow and  the stuffed armchair o' Slughorn. Most striking (caution to parents of younger children!) are these of the Inferi one and two, and the cave scene, with the rest available here.

Thanks much to Christian from Harry Potter Xperts de for the heads up!

Those pictures are so beautiful! It would be awesome if they released a calendar of his work, ala Lord of the Rings artists.

Now why don’t the Inferi look like that in the film? They look like the poor man’s Gollum in that cave sequence.

lol, the trolls with the ballet outfits are hilarious. The funeral pic is very “beautiful” but its style is very LOTR.

What beautiful, understated art, I am so glad we got to see them in art, even if we didn’t see it in the movies ( although seeing these pictures really makes me want to see what those scenes on screen now)
