New Concept Art including Dumbledore's Funeral for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Artist Adam Brockbank has updated his website again with some truly stunning concept art he did for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Most notable and perhaps most moving, is this lovely and sad piece depicting the funeral for the late great Professor Albus Dumbledore. Fans will recall of course, this scene was not in the film alas.  Other work of note include this sketch of Argus Filch, secrecy sensor in hand as well as the Gnome atop the Christmas Tree at the Burrow and  the stuffed armchair o' Slughorn. Most striking (caution to parents of younger children!) are these of the Inferi one and two, and the cave scene, with the rest available here.

Thanks much to Christian from Harry Potter Xperts de for the heads up!

dumbledore’s funeral is nice and the inferi WOW! Its terrifying but magnificent. I want them to film the funeral scene and put it as the beginning of DH

Yeah, starting movie 7 with that would be a nice way to introduce Scrimgeour and reintroduce Umbridge (as well as a way of putting the wand back in the tomb). That inferi crawling reminds me of the “spider” scene in the Exorcist. It would’ve creeeeeeped me out if they walked like that!

omg! the inferi look amazing!
I agree they should have been designed like that in the films.
The ones in the film look like Gollum (LOTR)

I must say that I have never encountered art depicting the Potterverse as poignantly gentle and profoundly and sublimely beautiful as the ones this guy has created. The art he has created is unprecedented in conveying the emotional gravity and import of this series of books. As others have observed, these works contain a subtle emotional force that has few rivals.

It’s all stunning! I wish they had put Dumbledore’s funeral in, though!
