Patrick Doyle to Host Screening of "Goblet of Fire" Here in US

Acclaimed Scottish film composer Patrick Doyle will be hosting a special screening of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire here in the US at Syracuse University in New York. According to the University, this free event will take place this week on Tuesday, February 10th, and will be followed by a question and answer session with the composer who wrote the score for the fourth Harry Potter film. Doors open at 3:45pm, with the film to start at 4pm (ET).

Oh, I would LOVE to attend this. I have 2 soundtracks from the HP movies: SS & GoF. I enjoy the difference between the 2 composers. GoF has such brilliant music. One of my favorite pieces encompassing all times & genres is “Harry In Winter” from this soundtrack…absolutely gorgeous! In the film you only get a small sampling of this piece – as Harry is going up to the owlery just prior to meeting Cho on the stairs & his blundering attempt to ask her to the ball.

I wonder why it’s happening though… it seems a little weird to suddenly have a GoF screening years after the movie was first released :S

Ok, so I just checked out the press release, and the event will be at 4pm in Grant Auditorium in the SU College of Law. Doors open at 3:45 for those of you who intend to go! Maybe I’ll see ya there! :D
