Normal, Non- Airborne Muggle Transportation the Way to University for Emma Watson
September 09, 2009, 09:15 AM
Actress Emma Watson has updated her website to confirm that she has arrived safely at Brown University where she will be attending school this year here in the US. She writes that she "arrived on Tuesday, and is having "the most amazing time." Emma continues "I'm still so excited to be here; I've already met so many incredible people. I'm over my jet lag and now I just want classes to start! Hope you are all well and happy and if you've just started college or university that it is everything you hoped it would be."
Tabloids and paparazzi have been relentlessness in their pursuit of Emma arriving at school, with scores of reports flying all over the internet (which will not reappear on TLC). One such ludicrous rumor had Emma arriving at school in airborne manner, which the Hermione Granger actress dispelled by stating "Oh and contrary to the reports you may have read, I didn't arrive by helicopter. I've only been in one once when I was little and I was terrified. Now back to my studies! Speak soon."
I hope they give her the peace to actually enjoy her university life. It’s a once in a lifetime experience for anybody, and God knows, Emma deserves it. And hats-off to Leaky Lounge for upholding the right to privacy!
Good luck, Emma! I hope you’ll have a great time on college and get good grades! :) Also, I hope you’ll make many new and great friends! They will make your life on university much more fun!!
Glad she’s trying to have a normal life at college. :o) Although when I’m visiting family I hang out around Brown a lot, it’d be awesome if I saw her (but I wouldn’t be all crazy, haha).
I’ve just got to echo what everyone is saying on here, Good Luck and good job, for Emma’s studies and Leaky’s respectful coverage of our favorite muggle-born!
Good luck Emma. I’m from RI and it would be pretty difficult to get a helicopter onto the campus at Brown (very densely populated). Brown University is used to having famous people attend the school, so I have no doubt that she’ll have a great experience while she’s there.
I hope that the papparazzi and reporters will let you get on with enjoying university life, Emma. Enjoy the atmosphere, the classes and even the late-nighters!
