The Contest Team has brought back its Two Part Riddles Contest for 2010, stretching over May and June. Part One of the contest will take place during May and you are invited to submit a riddle that relates to a person, place or thing found in the Harry Potter books. You may submit up to three riddles and they must be copy-pasted in the body of an e-mail to [email protected] by 22 May, 2010 at 11:59pm EDT with “2010 Riddle Entries” in the subject line. Please include either a real or Leaky Lounge name to be used for authorship.

The second part of the contest will take part over the month of June; every Monday and Friday at approximately 9am EDT, a riddle will be posted on the Contest Corner by the Contest Team to be answered by e-mail. Your answer must have “2010 Riddle # Answer” in the subject line (e.g. “2010 Riddle 1 Answer”) and be e-mailed to [email protected] before the next riddle is posted.

All contestants’ riddle entries used in June – excluding those riddles created by the Contest Team – and all people who submit correct answers for all the riddles within the deadlines will be placed into a drawing for one of three Wizard Wood Wands.

You can find the full rules for both parts of the contest, the schedule for when the riddles will be posted and more details here on the 2010 Riddles Contest page.

Is there a place on the site where we can review winners of past contests, to get a sense of 1) what HP factoids have already been covered, so we don't attempt ones that are too similar and 2) examples of entries that have found favor with the judges?
