Daniel Radcliffe has spoken to a Scottish newspaper about filming "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" in the recent snowy weather. Mr. Radcliffe, speaking to the Sunday Mail, describes the camping scenes filmed by Loch Etive in Scotland as "magic." He goes on to say, "[the] mountains up there looked kind of blue and the weather was great." Talking about the various filming locations used for the first part of the seventh film, Mr. Radcliffe comments that it is a "road movie [...] and it's going to look very different."
The paper also spoke to producer David Barron about his decision to not write snow scenes into the plot of "Deathly Hallows." Instead the producer says that they chose to return to Leavesden Studios and film indoor scenes on the Great Hall set.

I assume he means snow scenes in Scottland, because didn’t we see some snow scenes in the trailer…? (Godrics Hollow)

They didn’t completly take out the snow/rain. There’s snow in the trailer. Anyway, it sounds beatiful! What does he mean by a caravan holiday?

Sorry, I meant to say “somehow work some magic” not “someone.”

Well, we did see some snow in the trailer, so I’m sure there is some. So I don’t really know what he means?

I don’t know what you’re all worrying about. It doesn’t say that there won’t be ANY snow scenes, it says that they decided not to write any snow scenes into the part that they were filming, which sounds like it’s another part of the camping segment.
If I remember rightly, there wasn’t any snow in the camping scenes until they got to Godric’s Hollow. I would assume they’ve already filmed those scenes because we saw some of it in the teaser. You all need to chill out a bit!

I the trailer, there is definitely snow…you can see the graveyard in Godrick’s Hollow, and Hermoine has to brush off the snow to see Ignotious Peverell’s name.

Um, I am really hoping that they have snow in Godric’s Hollow and with the silver doe!! You just can’t get rid of those!!

I think he meant he wasn’t going to add any impromtu snow scenes to the movie. The UK has been getting snow recently and he figured if he tried to add a scene because there was real snow outside, it would probably melt before they could pull it off. However, they could film here in NH where our snow is going nowhere!

Part 1 is going to be so awesome!!! I can’t wait!!!
Bookworm_Weasley {HS} and {ROAR} Dawna, you are correct.
They are NOT TALKING ABOUT TAKING OUT ANY SNOW during the scenes which have it.
PLEASE guys read the actual article, and if you did, reread it. At Leavesden studios it snowed on some sets which aren’t supposed to have snow. So instead of shooting outdoors they had to reschedule shooting to the interior Great Hall set for that week. If they HAD decided to shoot outdoors with the snow, by the time they would have gotten started shooting it would have melted before they’ve finished filming. This is why they use fake snow(the kind on the sets of Godrics Hollow and Hogsmead in the DH sneak peek), it doesn’t melt.
Before thinking people seem to arrogantly first assume the worst regarding these movies, and then respond with commentary to it misinterpreting the article which others read, and believe. It’s like a reflex. It spreads misinformation that just doesn’t stop and people end up with all these unfounded sour and angry complaints about aspects of the film that they don’t like which don’t even exist.
