The PotterCast 213th episode of PotterCast, our Harry Potter podcast, is now online for your audible (and now visual) enjoyment.  This week, the PotterCasters are excited to bring you a new feature: Video of the LiveStream recording of PotterCast.  Available on the iTunes feed, and as a direct download, this experimental feature lets you see the video from the LiveStream recordings of the show.  As always, this episode starts off with the latest Potter news, including the "Very Potter Sequel" announcement, JKR as the Scotswoman of the Decade, a new LEGO Harry Potter trailer, the Leakies winners, and much more.  Next, Potter Pundits returns with a segment on your choice of a character-centric segment, discussing the always intriging character of Luna Lovegood.  Following the Pundits, the Melissa, John, and Frak return with a new Bit-by-Bit, covering the first half of Chapter 23 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  Finally, the drums bring the show to a close, with more on the LiveStream recordings, three questions from the audience, and much more!

As a reminder, the LeakyCon DVD, which will be available to pre-order soon, will also include all wizard rock performances from our conference.  If you like live wizard rock, be sure to reserve your copy of the upcoming LeakyCon Live Album of the wizard rock live shows at our LeakyCon 2009 conference.  To listen, just hit the "Play" button on the right side of the page (->), or use iTunes, or direct download.

I like this Episode. I like the whole video idea too.
My only complaint is PLEASE do not do whatever it was that you did with the audio again. I REALLLY hated it.
It makes my ears feel funny and then I feel…lopsided.
It drives me nuts when my ear buds start going out and they do that on their own. Drives Me Mad.

Please o Pleas don’t do that again.
I love you guys <33

Love the video! I would have been totally confused without it… I love how Frak kept sticking his arm in John’s box… Haha.

Though, whoever’s room that was, they really need to clean it up. grin

wordsthatrhyme: Sue isn’t on pottercast or The Leaky Cauldron any more. Her last episode was a month ago.

Also, apparantly there’s a wonky sound thing going on, but I’m not hearing it at all. I have brand new headphones but after the intro, all I can hear is Melissa. I can’t hear John or Frak at all.

rotfang07, to argue that making the score of Deathy Hallows is beyond the scope of John Williams is sheer madness! If you don’t like him as a composer, that is different. But John Williams is among the most accomplished composers in the world! He’s done NUMEROUS things that refute your statement. Schindler’s List (sad), E.T., every single Star Wars (fight scenes), Jurassic Park, the 96 Olympic theme, and Jaws—the single most recognized movie theme ever! If you want to say that the first 3 movies’ soundtracks were too happy, I strongly urge you to review the books…Harry is 11-13 years old and the books reflect that, as does the music. John Williams is MORE than capable of doing this score.

Personally, I’d like to see John Williams return, at least John Williams has proved his greatness. I really did not like the Order of the Phoenix score though and wasn’t thrilled about the Half-Blood Prince, so if we could avoid Nicholas Hooper, that’d be great. Bringing in this new person doesn’t sound too bad though…he’s gotten nominated for Oscars quite a bit in recent times so he must have some measure of talent

@wordsthatrhyme

She’s been here a long time, and her mother just died of something like Parkinsons a couple months ago.

Guess That Book

"Good, aren't they?" said Malfoy smoothly. "But perhaps the Gryffindor team will be able to raise some gold and get new brooms, too. You could raffle off those Cleansweep Fives; I expect a museum would bid for them."
