An article from WENN reports that, upon finishing filming his part in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," Timothy Spall took a prosthetic ear from the set as a memento of his time in the films. Spall, who has played the part of Peter Pettigrew since 2004, is quoted in the article:
"I lifted a prosthetic ear while filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It's strictly frowned upon, but it was too good to pass by. It will live on a shelf at home. If they're truthful, most performers try to get a souvenir from every job they do."
Thanks to Portkey.it for the tip.

I would do that. When I used to do a lot of theater I would take home props when I got the chance. It’s like taking photographs when you go on vacation, a permanent reminder of a fun time that you had.

That’s cool! As for Harry’s glasses they can figure out some profitable ways of using it. Imagine an auction with the original items from movies)))
However, it would be better if they let actors to take something as souvenirs!!!

haha, prop snagging!!!
at the community theatre is do all my shows at (someday wistful sigh i’ll hopefully be at the fifth…)they have severall props that they just give away…i know that there’s about a thousand dollar difference between “HP Dan glasses” and a humble door knob from Tom Sawyer; but it’s the same kind of thing. when you’re an actor you pour SO MUCH of yourself into your “enviroment” for your character. with things like wands and glasses; i would think that after a DECADE of work with them; they should be allowed to keep them.
….if i was Alan Rickman i would keep the Half Blood Prince potions book…SO cool…
