Wizard Currency Symbol Contest Announced

Our Contest Crew have just announced their latest contest for the month of October, the Wizard Currency Symbol Contest. Entrants to this month’s contest must design and illustrate the three symbols that represent the three denominations of wizarding currency–the Galleon, the Sickle and the Knut–and write a short description (150 words or fewer) description of the basis or history of the symbols.

All descriptions must be copy-pasted into the body of your email, with one image file smaller than 2MB (.jpg, .png, or .gif) with all symbols included. Submissions must be e-mailed to [email protected] by 11:59 pm (EDT) on the 31st of October, with “Wizard Currency” in the subject line of the e-mail. Entrants should additionally supply a name to be appear with your designs (either a real name or your Leaky Lounge name). Anyone 13 years of age and over who is not involved in the judging process is welcome to enter and please bear in mind that all entries must meet the PG-13 rating.

The first place winner will receive a handcrafted wand donated by Wizard Wood Wands and 200 MyLeaky points. Second, third and honourable mention(s) will receive 150, 100 and 50 MyLeaky points respectively.
