AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!Avatar ImageCDR says: GREAT!!!Avatar Imagenutela17 says: so exciting ;DAvatar Imagenutela17 says: so exciting ;DAvatar Imageblackhair says: What the hell. It was supposed to be bigger since it s the last installation in the series. Wonder what the WB is doing. The whole reason behind splitting the movie in 2 half's was to make it bigger. I know the second half will be atleast 2 1/2 hrs. But the first part covers 70% of the book and important incidents the Part 2 contains Trio's adventure to Gringotts and their escape which could be what 25 to 35 mins then their arrival at Hogwarts and the battle which is another 45- 50 mins which means 1hr 15 to 1hr 30 mins and then the epilogue for another what ????????Avatar ImageThe Stew says: Part 2 better be at least 3 hours!Avatar ImageThe Stew says: Anywho, I am stoked....can't wait to see what WB does with the first installment.Avatar Imagerohit_albus severus says: the longer it is...the better!!Avatar Imagectgryffindor says: i hope they don'T cut out important scenes. minutes are important. i wonder what was cutAvatar Imageshellybasson says: Kewl!Avatar Imagejrivas1284 says: I am beggining to worry.......No 3D and is shorter then the last one i am nerviousAvatar ImageMistic Willow says: Hmmm very interesting!!! I was hoping for at least 2 in a half hours!!! I think it is going to be close to that!!! I am getting very excited!!!! lolAvatar ImageFigment says: Sounds good to me. I can't wait!Avatar Imagecristina.ro.de says: Let's just hope it' stays that way!Avatar Imagemew5645 says: Cant wait!!Avatar ImagePotterParish says: wow 6 minutes people! quit your whining I thought WB was going to screw up and make it the length of Order of the Phoenix! and that was the LONGEST BOOK out of the series! i think 6 minutes is nothing to fuss about...it IS part 1 ya know right everyone?Avatar ImageStoenk says: Could be quite interesting. 15th, by the way.Avatar Imagegryffindor1991 says: i think it sounds perfect :) ive already got my tickets im going 12:30 in the afternoon on opening day :) that way there wont be a big crowd because most people will be at work or schoolAvatar ImageLost Northern says: its fantastic more its long more i've fun to watch it XDAvatar Imagefreya_xanthe says: can't wait to watch it with my friends! :DAvatar Imageblackhair says: @PotterParish i didn't criticized WB because they shortened the DH Part1 by 10 mins but because they cut 10 mins of already shortened film. IN Part 2 we don't have much to watch as we only have Gringotts incident lasting 25 mins, trio's escape from Gringotts 10 mins battle 50 mins (including trio's arrival there and the battle which last for 30 mins as already reported by Yates) , Snap es memories 5-10 mins, Harry's walk to death 10 mins. Harry's conversation with Albus 10 mins.Harry's battle with Tom 10 mins.Epilogue 15 mins. Total 120 mins i.e 2 hrs. Look everyone i have given max time for every possible event.Avatar ImageNumeroUnoFan says: im with @blackhair but for real make this 4 hours eachAvatar ImageWeenyOwl says: The longer the better. I'm old enough to remember when it was considered okay to make movies long enough to have an intermission. It just heightened the excitement to be able to nip out to the lobby for a snack, discuss what you'd just seen in the first half with friends and speculate about what was to come. But I guess that the mega-multiplex theatre chains wouldn't stand for that anymore.Avatar ImageMr. Brightside says: Oh boy..., why won't they give as a lengthy film? LOTR was 3 hours long and got Oscars! Anyway...., as long as it is true to the book and awesome time won't matter. Hopefully. Avatar Imagebiswajit says: i wish it would end after i dieAvatar ImageJillxoxo says: It does sound rather short, given how much storyline they have to cover...Avatar ImageGiant Squid says: Thats a great length for (hopefully) a great movie!Avatar Imageharrypotterfreak101 says: Can't wait!Avatar ImageGryffindor Lioness101 says: Soooo excited!Avatar Imagehallowman says: IT WAS SPOSED TO BE AS LONG AS COS DAMNITAvatar ImageHunterGoddess says: Two and 27 minutes of pure bliss....can't wait! 23 days to go!!Avatar Imageazaadpotter says: Wow thats awesomeAvatar ImageShinyPineapple says: It should be longer. It SHOULD be 3 hours. Avatar Imagepigwey says: come on, you can do longer than that!!lol but over 2 hours is pretty good(: i just gotta make sure i pee before i watch it otherwise i will be squirming the whole time because under no circumstances will i get up to skip scenes from the movieAvatar ImageSindi says: I thought it would of been longer since they are covering so much of the book :\ hmmm... imma little scared now... HBP sounded/ looked promising but turned out to be really different than the book... I guess we wont know until we actually see the film ... :) Avatar ImageHermione_Granger_Weasley says: I hope it will be great. It better be! I think two hours and twenty-seven minutes is long enough if they did it right. I mean, it didn't take longer than that to read that part of the book, and least not much longer.Avatar ImageHermione Elizabeth says: Sounds like a good length... very excited!Avatar ImageFilthyMudblood___ says: Two and half hours of pure HEAVEN. I'm getting more and more excited as each day passes!!!Avatar ImageDobbyWinkyKreacher says: 2 hours 27 minutes....33 minutes more and it would have been 3 hours long I like what i have seen in the trailers. The only negatives about HP movies....cut scenes and too short! Avatar Imageratorr2 says: That means, as a whole, Deathly Hallows could be about 5 hours long. Looks great so far and I can't wait to see the first half.Avatar ImageFleur-de- Lily says: so exciting Avatar Imagehonigmuffin says: Hmm, I just hope this doesn't mean they cut a bunch of important scenes :/Avatar ImageKeaHellstorm says: DAMN IT SO GREAT :D:DAvatar Imagebella vita says: I am SO sick of Yates bullsh!t "absolutely no longer than 2 1/2 hours" rule that's he's been yammering about since he made OOTP the longest book in the entire series into the shortest film! He needs to get over it because people sat through Titanic, Avatar, and all of the LOTR movies despite all of those being well over 2 1/2 hours! Those directors weren't afraid to make films that were 3 hours or more in order to get the story done right and all of those films won Oscars and excelled brilliantly at the box office as well! Maybe Yates should ask himself why his adaptations have never even been nominated for any of the big awards? The potential for winning big time awards has always been there with HP, but he throws out all of that potential because he's so much more concerned about run times than the integrity of the actual story! His refusal to even consider making a 3 hour film despite adapting stories that absolutely merit a 3 hour run time is so beyond friggin ridiculous and its the main reason so many of our favorite scenes from OOTP and HBP weren't included. Now its looking like he's taken a butcher knife to my favorite book DH too? I was desperately hoping that with DH split into two films I would finally get to see a HP book done accurately on screen because IMO he didn't do OOTP or HBP justice at all. GOF was the last HP movie I felt was satisfactory in the sense that despite missing quite a few scenes from the book it at least managed to keep almost the exact same feel and magic of the book. OOTP and HBP didn't feel at all like the stories I've read, but I really hoped Yates would turn it around with DH. Its HP so no matter what I'll love it and watch it a million times, but I'm still sad to think that yet again I might end up with a film that just feels nothing like the book its based on. I'll still try to keep an open mind and reserve judgement until the midnight screening. I just can't get over the fact that he completely removed the amazing scene of Kreacher telling the trio about Regulus and his complete change of attitude towards Harry! Kreacher's storyline was one of my favorites in the entire series because his character and progression was so extremely well developed by Jo despite maybe not being one of the most central characters. Two of my favorite scenes ever are Kreacher hitting Mudungus with the frying pan saying "Perhaps one more for luck, Master Harry?" and his battle cry of "Fight! Fight for my master, defender of houseelves! Fight the Dark Lord in the name of brave Regulus! FIGHT!" as he bursts from the kitchens wearing the locket Harry gave him and leading the houseelves of Hogwarts into battle! They're brilliant scenes and if the scene of him leading the houseelves into battle in Part 2 is also left out I will seriously lose it! Kreacher is just such a great character and proves what a dramatic impact the way that we treat other people can have on their entire personality. Avatar Imagebella vita says: WHOA! I didn't mean for that comment to turn into an essay! Sorry guys!Avatar Imagejoeys_mommy says: Good enough for me, I was worried it would be under 2 hours.Avatar Imagepinkyquillo says: I can't wait for this movie to come out!! :D But, hang on- since, it's the last one, should it be a little longer?? Though it seems good to me, as long as they don't omit important scenes though... :D
