I’ll never forget Dobby’s death in the book. Up until that point, I was mostly indifferent about him. But when I was reading that scene, I started crying. By the end of it, I was sobbing so hard that I had to put the book down. I never expected to have that reaction. Dobby and Snape’s deaths were the only ones that affected me so. I didn’t appreciate Dobby as I should have until he died.
