The Suffolk Free Press has a few more details on the filming that took place on the 29th of January in the mediƦval village of Lavenham, Suffolk. No members of the cast were present for the scenes shot in the village in January, but the paper reports, "Harry Potter and Hermione Granger will be added through computer wizardry." Jane Gosling, the manager of Lavenham Guildhall, commented on further digital adjustments such as editing out modern houses. The Guildhall itself (which is a National Trust building), says Gosling, was used as the house of Lily and James Potter. The article cites Lavenham's ""ethereal" quality" as the reason why location managers chose the village "as the basis for Godric's Hollow."

Technically the top right-hand side of the Potters house is supposed to be in ruins when Harry and Hermione visit Godric’s Hollow polyjuiced as a muggle couple. Remember it was left in its ruined state in tribute to the Potters. I’m thinking this is actually for the part right after Harry and Hermione disapparate and Harry is unconscious thinking he is Voldemort who has just watched them escape and is seeing Voldemort’s memory of everything that happened the night he killed the Potters and attacked Harry because the house would be fully intact for that memory. I’m sure they’ll just go back and CG all of the damage to the house caused by Voldemort’s backfired killing curse when Harry and Hermione visit.

I really hope they do well on the Godric’s Hollow scene and don’t try too hard to make it more PG . I understand when they do that, but sometimes it’s necessary to capture the emotional aspect of it to add some mature content

I think they will go PG-13 for this film though they have changed rating standards in the last few years, so i am not completely sure about this. That is one thing that is good about everyone dying by magic, they don’t have to be too bloody about it.

I hate when they just map actors into locations that they’ve never been to, but I guess they do that quite often in movies, don’t they? :o(

@LoveTomRiddle, they are using Adrian and Geraldine, don’t worry about that!
Also as I said previously the Potters House which is currently part of a small section of Godric’s Hollow built at Leavesden is described as a homely cottage, having seen the picture of the Guild Hall my source said, that is not the Potter’s house but may be the building opposite.
@YodatheHobbit: What I ment by my comment was that they were going to add them by computer. Telling me kind of ruins the moment for me believing they actually filmed there and i see the scene differently thats all.
