"Deathly Hallows: Part 2" has broken the opening weekend record, earning $169.2 million this first weekend of its release, and surpassing the previous record holder, "The Dark Knight," which in 2008 earned $158.4 million the first weekend it was in theatres. Great numbers, congrats DH2. Well-deserved. Great film. Perfect ending, very emotional. Seeing it again this weekend. Can’t wait.

Just saw the movie and loved it. But, do agree with all the prior entries about the things that were either left out or never mentioned so one could understand where a scene was going ie: going into the forest and talking to Lupin about his son. Over all it was good but and extra 15 to 20 minutes added to the film would have given then ample opportunity to tie up many, many loose ends. Did love the Epilogue – Dan will make a great parent when the time comes.

Loved Part 2, but agree with others who feel that some extra time spent here or there would have improved the story (the cloak, Harry repairing his wand, Snape’s memories)…Also, I’m surprised no one has mentioned the Neville/Luna connection. That wasn’t in the books, and JKR has mentioned that she never intended them to be together, so why did they do it in the movie?
incomplete compared to the book
