Update: Registration for day 4 is now closed; tomorrow's clue will revolve around Order of the Phoenix. No word yet on what time to expect the latest challenge.

Day 4 of Pottermore's Magical Quill Challenge is now open with a clue from Goblet of Fire.
How many students take part in the Triwizard Tournament during Harry's fourth year? Multiply this number by 28.
Think you know the answer? Add the number to the end of this website address (http://quill.pottermore.com/) and find the magical quill for a chance to be one of the first million Pottermore beta users. Please do not post the answer or link in the comments!

Be quick! Registration will only be open while spaces are still available each day.

DreamingDrama, that happened to me yesterday at step two of the registration. Screen just seemed to hang and timer going round and round. Finally I thought of refreshing the page and Lo ! it came back and I could proceed without shutting all down and trying again. I hope you get in okay for your son tomorrow.

Thanks, miss molly. Guess I didn’t really miss anything. But the Sony page must have worked briefly because someone had posted on yahoo answers:
“refresh and then you seriously can’t miss it, it’s floating around with other quills and you just have to pick the one that’s glowing.” But just after that the posts said people were getting rerouted, so the glitch must have popped up during the onslaught. I guess many of the European time zone fans got in days 1-3, but now the Eastern-Pacific time zone fans who didn’t stay up all night days 1-3 or didn’t get in swamped the site today.

Does anyone know if the numbers at the ends of the usernames are actual counts? For example, the previous poster’s username is WitchFelicis130 – are there at least 129 other WitchFelicisXXX members?

The quill never appeared today or only appeared for some people. I guess it was suppose to be in somewhere on the Sony store page but they had difficulties. If you kept trying to put the URL with the answer in it eventually brought you to the registration page without having to find the quill.

PhoenixFromTheFlame: There will be other WitchFelicis members, but it may not be a simple count – they might only use certain numbers and pick the number offered with some randomness rather than sequentially.

roonwit: Cool. Thanks.
I think it makes sense that they assign names but I’m glad they gave choices (I turned down YewSwordxxx (think that was it…it was early and I was in a hurry not to miss registration) – too Dark for me!)

PTBartman: I expect they won’t grant access until after the early access allocation has finished – it would keep things simpler and limit the load on the site to the early access process. I expect they will start letting people in the next week or two after this week (though the Terms and Conditions say they can let people in this week).

Squee! I’m validated! It took a bit over 2 hours to get the validation email.

Got the same message…wait a few weeks for the “Welcome email”.

Got my confirmation letter! Took them 1:30 to send it and an additional 45 minutes for me to get it on gmail. Anyone else feel like you just got your Hogwarts letter?

Hi. Can anyone help me here? If I received the e-mail to confirm my accont and if I log in and they say that I validated my account does that mean that I’ve got it? Will I be able to acces before October? Thank you!!!
