Avatar ImageWant to be a Weasley says: And apparently I am an idiot, I cannot figure out how in the world to throw the gnomes properly :(Avatar ImageValeria-Johanna says: Me neither, and I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to do it.Avatar ImageWant to be a Weasley says: Glad it just isn't me, I have given up for the day. Maybe see if my children can manage it, I definitely think parts of Pottermore are not designed for anyone over the age of 15.Avatar Imagelelly66 says: the gnomes have to get thrown over the hedge on the right side of the garden, not the broken stone wall; let go of the mouse just as they're pointed toward the hedgeAvatar ImageG.Weasley says: OH MY GOSH! I MUST GO FANGIRL WHILE I AM EXPLORING THE PLACE AT THE SAME TIME!Avatar ImageValeria-Johanna says: lelly66, how many times did you have to whirl each one round before letting go? (I can't believe I just wrote that sentence.)Avatar Imagemoglet says: I don't think it matters how many times you whirl the gnomes, but it's all in the timing of letting go, it took me a few goes, but as lelly66 says just let go when they are pointing towards(of slightly above) the hedge. I had to have about 3 goes, I'm not very good at that sort of thing.Avatar Imagejennluvsharry says: OMG thank god im not the only one who cant get those stupid gnomes over the wall!!!Avatar ImageWant to be a Weasley says: Duncan managed it for me and even volunteered to come do yours WeenyOwl and V-J if needed. He did it on the first try on his account and mine, I just decided that I was hopeless.Avatar Imagehorcruxhunter7 says: Can't. Get. On.Avatar ImageValeria-Johanna says: @WtbaW, how is Duncan's Apparition these days?Avatar ImageValeria-Johanna says: Thanks to all your excellent advice, I was able to de-gnome the garden. And I found the Floo Powder unaided! Avatar ImageFleur-de- Lily says: cool so far.Avatar Imagehogwarts-is-my-home says: I love how there is more sound effects and hidden animations and mini-games... Plus the bonus at the end for going back and starting over!Avatar ImageWON_TWO says: I think I'll wait till its complete...Avatar ImageHedwig2751 says: The harder the game, the longer the time we spend on Pottermore, the more fun it is. I wouldn't have enjoyed it had it been easy!Avatar ImageRavenclaw78 says: I have a love/hate relationship with Pottermore. I love all the extras from JKR, the bonus content is my favorite. I managed to keep the cake up but you should probably call someone else for de-gnoming the yard. The sound effects are great and I do love the graphics. I just keep feeling like I'm missing something in each moment. I drag my mouse all over the page just to find a Bertie Bott's bean. But, I'm excited to see what else will crop up as we work our way through the books.Avatar ImageHBPFan says: I had a fun time exploring the new chapters and I loved the new content and extra bits which were revealed to us :) The mini games were a nice surprise too - the degnoming has been the most difficult so far, but after a few concentrated efforts, I managed to throw 5 gnomes over the wall! Although only one got hit on the stump, so I didn't get much of a bonus, but at least I got to go to the next moment! I also loved the graphics, sounds, and music from the new chapters, I hope the next ones are just as exciting!Avatar Imagehewy says: Does anyone know why the games do not work with internet explorer? I can find things but the games just don't work for me. Am not that tech savy but had no problems with SS.Avatar ImageRavenclaw78 says: Hewy - I'm not sure what's up. They don't work on my computer at work that runs IE, but they work my home computer that also runs IE. I've got Java, even updated it, but I'm obviously missing some plug-in or add-on. I just don't know what it is! If anyone else knows the answer, please share! :)Avatar Imagemoglet says: I avoid using IE as most things don't seem to run properly on it a it is so slow. I use Firefox.Avatar ImageValeria-Johanna says: @Hedwig, not everyone has your youthful dexterity! I contacted Pottermore over Philosopher's Stone, as some of the features (especially catching the snitch) would be next to impossible for people with arthritis in their hands, who would not then be able to proceed. At least there should be codes available for disabled people to be able to use Pottermore, so that everyone can enjoy what it has to offer. (I received an acknowledgement, but no reply as such.)Avatar Imagewandmastercalum says: Good I can't wait to go on it!Avatar ImageHarryLoverAllRound says: can't wait to get on and get going with this new part!!!!!!!Avatar ImageRavenclaw78 says: I had to download Google Chrome (which I loathe... I'm a Microsoft girl!) & Pottermore worked fine. Has it not even been out a week? It feels like so much longer!
