"Fantastic Beasts" Films to Have Video Game and Theme Park Tie-ins

Following the news that J. K. Rowling will write a screenplay for a "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" film, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara has said that in addition to a series of films he anticipates that the "Fantastic Beasts" series will include video games and an attraction at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter:

Rowling’s movies will feature Newt Scamander, who is portrayed in the Harry Potter books as the author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a Hogwart’s textbook. The films will be set -- at the outset, at least --70 years prior to Harry Potter.

Tsujihara said Fantastic Beasts won’t only be a film series, but also a video game and an attraction within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at theme parks run by Universal Parks and Resorts.

He wouldn't commit to more than one film, but made it clear that the intent is for it to draw a big audience and warrant sequels and a franchise tag. He called the project "incredibly important."

Well, I suppose that makes sense. They could make a cool theme park ride involving magical creatures (not just dragons, but others too).

I could easily picture a carousel where kids can ride on a whole menagerie of different magical creatures! That would be cool just to look at/photograph.

Can action figures, toys, clothing, & collectables be far behind?

I can’t wait to watch the series. Even if it doesn’t have any plot involving the Harry directly, it sure will have little reference to other characters or things we have seen in the series so far. excited
