Actor Chris Rankin was born in New Zealand before moving to England at an early age. Growing up in the Norwich area, Chris began acting in 1995 when he joined the Northgate High School and Dereham Youth Theatre. He performed in both dramatic plays as well as musicals. In 2001, Chris made his first motion picture appearance as he was cast as the persnickety Percy Weasley in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Chris then performed in the following two Potter films, Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban. Chris recently appeared in the television film The Rotter's Club which aired on the BBC in 2005. Chris recently formed Painted Horse Theatre Company and continues to appear on stage. Chris returned again as Percy Weasley in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, with fans hoping for his appearance in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as well.
