Diamond Comics Summary Fake, says Scholastic
I spoke to Diamond Comics Rep Bill Larduskey who looked up the HP ad in April's Diamond Comics preview mag. He told me it came directly from Scholastic. Scholastic, however, had quite the opposite reaction. "Didn't come from us!" is the verdict. Totally bizarre, and I believeContinued...
Corrected JKR/Steve Kloves Transcript
Upon getting the DVD and watching the interview between JKR and Steve Kloves - while we are very, very grateful to Eric of Mugglenet for transcribing it - I noticed there were a lot of discrepancies between the transcript and the interview. Different phrasing, omissions, spelling errors, etc. So I've takenContinued...
Transcript of JKR & Kloves Interview is Up
Eric of MuggleNet spent time at his keyboard today and transcribed the interview that Newsround's Lizo conducted with JKR and screenwriter Steve Kloves, which appears on the DVD. We've seen some quotes before, like the one about the diary being similar to an internet chatroom, but there are someContinued...
Further to Melissa's post about PREVIEW
I have the issue here in front of me. There really is a blurb on page 402, but we don't want to post it as truth until we've confirmed with the editors that they obtained it from a legitimate source (i.e. Scholastic, Bloomsbury or at least Warner Brothers). PREVIEW is a well respected publicationContinued...
Another OotP Summary?
Another summary has surfaced, in April's Diamond Comics preview book. Todd sent us a scan, and I called a random comic store and pestered a clerk until he opened the book and read me the summary on the specified page. This is indeed in that book. More info on an HP ad. But. We have a strong suspicion that this is disinformation,Continued...

The Cincinnati Enquirer has published the results of their "Write Your Own Potter Prose" contest first announced back in January. (Thanks, Jeff, for the info.)
More reports about the spoilers
Thanks, Godric's Hollow, for your concern ("BBC Snubs Leaky Cauldron") - but it seems the Daily Mirror, not the BBC, has done the snubbin'. That's fine. You all know where you got your info, and if a tabloid doesn't source it's really no surprise. We're sure it's a miscommunicationContinued...
More about the Launch Party for CoS
Variety Magazine reports on the CoS launch party and quotes Robbie Coltrane as saying that his favorite part of the DVD is the Forebidden Forrest tour - three strikes, and spiders overrun the car! The article also quotes Tom Felton as saying:
Somebody told me I was going to die... If I do, I hope it's a goodContinued...

More on Dawn French and Ian Brown... from Chris Columbus!
Empire Online has a bit about the new casting decisions for PoA. Columbus says:
I think [Dawn French is] incredibly funny and her Harry Potter spoof on Comic Relief was pretty amazing.
He also doesn't say whether Ian Brown of the Stone Roses will be in the film or not.
Book Five Summary!
On April Fool's Day, we received an email from a woman named Rosalind who claimed she had a summary of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix that had appeared in Scholastic's catalog for Summer/Fall 2003. I refused to believe it (because of the day), but she insisted, and finally sent me a copy of the catalog to proveContinued...
