This Bangor, Maine editorial considers Harold Bloom's criticism of Stephen King. There's not a mention of Harry in the article, but it's an interesting follow up to yesterday's post.

John Williams To Lead Rose Parade

John Williams, the musical director of the Harry Potter films, has been chosen to be the grand marshal of the 2004 Rose Parade. The parade's theme will be, "Music, music, music!"

The First Lady Is a Potter Fan

In a recent interview, First Lady Laura Bush urged doctors to prescribe reading for young children. The article also stated that she read all five Harry Potter books over the summer and, "loved them".
