Bloggers - Candace

I realize it’s been a full month since I last blogged, and I’m sorry to say that this blog isn’t going to be about Harry Potter but I need to get the word out about an event I am participating in.

March 14-15 is an event called the 24 Hour Cancer Dance-a-thon (the link opens in a new window) and it is exactly what the name says- a 24 hour swing dance event to raise money to benefit cancer research and treatment for the City of Hope hospital in Southern California. The rules are that each team must have at least fifteen members and one person from each team must be dancing on the dance floor during the entire 24 hour period. There will be lessons every hour and DJs from all over CA are volunteering their services to provide music.

It’s a wonderful cause, and I know you guys probably know someone who has been affected by cancer; I myself am doing this for friends and family. If you would possibly be interested in providing support through a donation or sponsoring me, whatever little you can contribute would be amazing! Even if you can’t, please help spread the word! Tell everyone you know about it, point them to this page. Cancer has affected so many people and so many families and we need to continue to strive to provide support for those who need it and to help along the research any way possible.

If you are interested in donating or sponsoring my team please check out my participant page here and thank you so much for your interest and support!
