Celebrate Banned Book Week - Read Challanged Books

September 30, 2008, 12:38 AM

What progress we are making. In the Middle Ages they would have burned me. Now they are content with burning my books.
~Sigmund Freud, 1933

To celebrate "Banned Book Week" today I'd like to ask you to read a challenged book in public. Express your right to read at home, school, church or any other public place. You don't have to read out loud, just reading the book is expressing your freedom.

I've asked some of my wonderful friends and family to take the opportunity to vlog/blog reading one of the many challenged books. A very special thanks to everyone of the wonderful people who took part!
