“Mars” anything but all wet…

I don’t want to spoil anyone so, I’ll try to be vague:

1) I truly believe “The Waters of Mars” features David Tennant’s best acting ever, as we see the Doctor go somewhere emotionally we never thought he could go

2) You’re either going to love this special or you’re going to hate it as a result of that. I personally LOVED it.

3) I really wish Lindsay Duncan could stay on as a companion. She can’t, but… wow. Woman’s a great foil for the Doctor.

Now, for some more squeeful stuff to report:

David Tennant has shot a TV pilot called “Rex Is Not Your Lawyer,” to air in the US. He’ll play a high-flying Chicago attorney suffering from panic attacks and seeing a shrink, played by Jeffrey Tambor. NBC picked up the pilot but I don’t have any intel on when it’s set to air – possibly as one of the crop of new series that will hit next fall. (Translation, American friends – those of us stateside will no longer have such a hard time watching him when he’s actually on the TV!)

The states are also expected to get a look at Tennant this month with the release of the film Glorious 39. It’s kind of a whodunit set in 1939 during World War II. It looks pretty good from the reviews I’ve managed to read, though a few are critical of the plot. DT is a kind of hot-headed, anti-appeasement politician from what I can gather. It *might* hold me over until Christmas and “The End of Time.” Maybe!
