Yay I’m glad to have a poll again! SnapeGirl Sooo glad to see you again!!!

Here is what I typed up directly after finishing Deathly Hallows-

“I finished Deathly Hallows on July 22, 2007 3:42 PM. And so it’s over. After long hours of reading it’s over. I didn’t sleep the first night but I did the second. I’ve done nothing but read the past two days. In a way we were all right, My Dear, dear SnapeGirl we tried did we not? Kevin I believe it was, actually came up with the answer on Harry’s scar, absolutely brilliant. I am impressed!

So it started on the 20th at around 9:30 or 10:00PM, we went to various potter parties the at 11:30 we went to Borders where we stood in a VERY crowded room waiting the remaining time in line. Now I would only do this for Harry Potter because I absolutely hate crowds of people and having them touch me. Gag We discussed a few theories with some people around us, I had my time turner on and was clutching a ‘Snape is good sticker, shouting out at anyone with one ‘Snape is loyal’! Then the countdown came and cheers, we waited another hour to get to the front of the line then, as the person in front of me was paying, I saw the lady behind the desk get another book for the next person. I instantly started jumping up and down chanting ‘ she has my book, I am going to read that book.” Once I got to the front with the 20$ bill I had been saving just for that for the past year she handed me my book and poster declaring, “someone turn her of.” And I read what I could all the way home in the car by a glow stick. After that, I locked myself in the very small closet in my room from July 21 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM on the 22. Until I was so tired that I couldn’t keep my eyes open or think straight. Then I continued until finished and so, here I am.

‘Voldy’, nice touch! I wonder if she used that because the fans used it, or if she was planning on using it…

So I was right about- Snape being good and loving Lily (Although at one point I believed he loved Narcissa) Harry’s scar being a horcrux Snape killing Dumbledore because Dumbledore was already going to die, also, knowing that Snape would make his death quick and easy while the DE’s would torture him.

I was wrong however with thinking- Harry was going to die And, I’m sure a bunch of other things that I am too tired to think off. I’m sure someone will remind me of them though ;)

Why why why Lupin? ALL of my favourite characters were killed!

Wait, did I miss who cast magic later in life? And WT(Heck) was up with the whomping willow? I thought Umbridge murdered it?”

It was wonderful. I cried and had to stop reading at one point and take a half a day before I could pick it back up again and finish.

E.S. I have to disagree with you about Snape. Altough, I believe he did finally help Harry, I still feel he was out for himself not good or bad, but happily teetering in the middle. I cannot believe he could just watch Charity be killed! He blew off George’s ear. He could have used another spell to accomplish the same goal and not have severely injured George by mistake.

I have been dying to say this, but Harry was too a horcrux I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! Okay, that felt great and it is the last I will ever say of it!

Also, although I still have those feelings toward Snape, I am glad that he loved someone. I am glad that Lily was kind to him in return.

I always felt bad that he had no one actually love him and that he loved no one in return.

I read the book in two days and it was so great! But it was also very sad. I want to re-read the series again!

The ending was expected due to the fact that in order for J.K. Rowling to remain a popular author Harry couldn’t die…... Hermione couldn’t because then shed lose all the girl fans…. then Ron, being Harry’s best friend, couldn’t die. This book exceded my expectations after Reading the 6th book…... The 6th book was not an outstanding book…... it was average….

Hey Twin2 good to see you again! IMO-Snape couldn’t just stop Voldemort from killing Charity, it would have destroyed his cover. Snape got involved with the wrong side and once Voldy killed Lily he finally realised this. In my oppinion, Snape wasn’t evil at all. I’m not saying Snape was completely good, he had bad in him which is why he could hurt others, kill, and be so miserable. No one is all good Dumbledore proved that (curse the old man!)

I don’t think Snape was out for himself, everything he did was for Lily. I also think Snape regretted calling Lily a mudblood so much that’s why he went by ‘half-blood’ prince. It should have been around that time when he had that book I think. I just feel like babbling I don’t know if I make any sense….

The book was definitely spectacular. I’m so happy the trio LIVED. I really, really loved the book, but wasn’t there stuff that was left out? Who did magic later in life? Also what about the whole “REMEMBER MY LAST” thing. We never really figured out Dumbledore’s and Petunia’s correspondence other than her writing for permission to attend Hogwarts, and what would that have to do with “remember my last”?

SQUEEE!!! We have poll comments again!! Thank you Leaky!!!!

Twin 2 – who is Charity?? I completely missed that.

ES, excellent point about why Snape would refer to himself as the HBP – I never thought of that!

SnapeGirl, I owe you a huge apology!!!! Can I join your Snape fan club? I should have known my darling Alan Rickman would only play an incredibly romantic part! “After all this time?” “Always!” Sob!!
