All of the old polls had comments, but when they changed the formatting of the comments in April 2007, they don’t seem to be comatable, so don’t show up.

The poll before April 2007 did not even show up in archives after that change, when you could look at archived polls at all. ;)

In the bookstore. My dad won’t let me go to the midnight launches, I tried in vain the night before DH came out. This time though, I have my receipt ready, and will set my alarm clock, my phone, and my DS to VERY early in the morning. Waking my dad up should be no problem if I have chocolates at hand. So, my room mate calls from downstairs for me to hurry. Our garage is FLOODED! It is puring rain and the drains on our street decide not to work and to OVERFLOW! People driving past are sending waves of water at our house and it is getting into the garage! But, the water started draining and we are just left with a wet floor.

Deanie, thanks for the info about Dark Shadows airing live on the East Coast…I’ll have to tell my father that. He always wondered why they didn’t just reshoot some of the larger glaring mistakes.

I was a soap fan in college – All My Children and General Hospital – and after that, Days of Our Lives would be on in the break room at work, so I’d often catch that. Occasionally if I’m home on a weekday (a rarity now), I’ll put one of them on and am always amused to find that I can still follow them fairly well, since so many of the same characters are still around. And that’s one thing I do have to say for soaps – I really like how they make use of character histories and back stories.

Hi Sirius! It’s been nice seeing you pop in more often recently. I hope some of the tips end up reducing some of your pain. But I must disagree with your assessment of Steel Magnolias! It’s got to be a guy thing, LOL. I sob every time I see it. I suppose next you’re going to say that Terms of Endearment is boring too? :(
